Effective September 2007HULL & DECK •Proven semi-displacement “keelboat” hull with: (a) moderate beam and displacement for superior fuel economy; (b) a fine, seagoing bow to slice through waves; (c) rounded chines for a soft ride without pounding; (d) narrow, low-drag hull for less wave-making at harbor speeds and for a smooth transition to cruising speeds; (e) progressively lower dead¬rise angles towards the stern and external spray guards for good form stability and roll-resistance; (f) long, integral keel, cut-away aft, for predictable tracking and protection of prop and rudder against accidental ground¬ing and (g) engine amidships and minimum superstructure with low center of gravity for responsive handling and a level ride in high speed turns. • Cook Polycor gel-coat hull color in White. • White PVC spray rails along the waterline functions graphically as a boot top. Low maintenance PVC gunwale guardrail in neutral color integral to hull-deck joint, which is double bonded, mechanically and with GRP. • Smoke White (pale gray) or Tan on deck, • Cabin trunk, cockpit sole, bridgedeck and interior cabin sole. • Vinylester resin offers a barrier against osmotic blisters. • Solid, hand-laminated E-glass construction with 7-9 layers of BTI biaxial mat. • The bilges have an air-dried gel-coat finish. • Teak eyebrow trim on cabin trunk. • Sanded teak toe rail. • Teak trimmed cockpit coaming with ˝ round stainless cap to resist chafe. • Molded deck and cabin trunk of composite fiberglass and end-grained balsa sandwich construction. • Cuprinol treated, kiln dried, cockpit beams. • Molded one piece fiberglass aft cockpit sole and siding liner w/mop and boathook storage rack. • Raised, molded bridgedeck over engine, fuel and battery compartment with lock-down access hatches. The entire bridge floor section is removable for full access to engine and fuel tanks. • The windshield is white painted mahogany with safety glass panes. • 2 Molded hatch covers on cockpit sole for spare anchor, swim ladder and cleaning supplies. • The engine stringers are fiberglass with embedded steel mounting plates. PROPULSION •Inboard Volvo D4-225 225 horsepower, 4-cylinder, freshwater cooled, turbo-charged diesel with cruising speed of 17 knots @3200 rpm, consuming approximately 7 gallons per hour at sustained speed. Fuel consumption over a season normally averages in the 2.5 to 4 GPH range. •Down angle transmission for low profile, level, minimum vibration engine installation. •Volvo engine control panel with tachometer, engine hour meter, voltmeter, and oil pressure and water temperature gauges with engine alarms. •Sound-insulated cockpit floors and bulkheads surrounding engine. Heavy-duty insulated engine compartment hatch. •Cast bronze strut with cutlass bearing stabilized by full-length brass skeg to base of rudder. •1-1/2" Tobin bronze shaft with 4-blade left (or right) hand bronze prop and streamlined zinc. •PSS shaft seal to prevent stuffing box drip. •Dual-tank fuel level gauge. •Interconnected dual aluminum fuel tanks with 132-gallon capacity having a 285+ mile range at top cruising speed. •Independent fuel tank valves to adjust trim. •Bronze water intake strainer and seacock. •UL approved shutoffs and Racor fuel filter. •Vernay “Vernatone” 4" muffler. •2 Pairs of engine vents mounted in hull topsides •Fiberglass drip pan below engine and transmission. ELECTRICAL •DC distribution panel with 9-branch circuit breaker switches (Cabin, Nav & Anchor Lights, Instruments, VHF, Radar and 3 spares) with voltmeter. •Halogen reading lights (2) in cabin. •Dual circuit 110V/12V light in galley. •Overhead dome light in head. •Stainless 12V cell phone, computer and spotlight outlet. •2 Exide D4D 200 ampere-hour batteries. •110V, 30-amp shore power system with 5 branch circuit breakers and 50' shore power cord. •GFIC protected 110V outlets in head and on port bulkhead between galley and berth. •2 Windshield wipers with 3-way switch. STEERING •20" Stainless, quick-response destroyer wheel with approximately 3 turns, stop-to-stop. •Morse Command 2 rotary steering. •Manganese bronze ˝" plate lobster boat rudder with stainless steel shaft mounted in a Delrin steadying bearing in the brass protective shoe. PLUMBING •Pressure cold water system for galley with 24 gal. poly-tank •Under V-berth with clean-out/inspection port. •2 Rule automatic, electric bilge pumps. •1 Bosworth high-capacity manual bilge pump. •Raritan Cricket high-capacity head with double action vertical handle and 15-gallon holding tank with both deck plate for pump-out station discharge and Bosworth manual high-capacity offshore discharge pump. Classic Yacht Finish Below Decks: Matt varnished interior teak (4 coats Epifanes) and the addition of teak or ash batting strips on hull sides over the berths and teak and holly finished sole. Teak Bow Pulpit: Teak platform with integral anchor roller suitable for a 25 lb. CQR and extended bow rail. Teak Swim Platform: w/low profile, electro-polished stainless steel Windline 37" telescoping swim ladder mounted underneath. Ladder has plastic treads. Radiused Stern Seat: To match transom with 2" white, closed-cell vinyl bottom cushions and backrest. Teak Windshield Frame: In lieu of standard white enameled mahogany windshield. Fisherman’s Package: Crankcase Oil Drain Pump: Oil drain pump mounted at dipstick in engine room w/breaker and separate on/off switch at pump. Fireboy Auto fire Extinguisher System w/Auto Shut Off. Varnished Treated Exterior Teak. L-Shaped Bridgedeck Settee: With stainless railing and custom cushions in choice of fabric. Contrasting Non-Skid: Smooth areas are white or off white while the molded non-skid pattern on all decks in choice of Smoke White, (pale grey) or Light Tan or Beige. Bimini Soft Top: Sunbrella fold-down top (choice of colors) with removable side curtains, vertical windshield extender and stainless steel framework. 3 pc.
