Located in the Driscoll Boat Yard on Shelter Island, in the "heart" of the marine community, Dorgan Yachts, Inc. is ideally situated to have all your needs efficiently met in one location, by an experienced team of yachting professionals.
Michael Dorgan, President of Dorgan Yachts, Inc, first sailed with his parents when he was 6 weeks old, and has been either on or around boats ever since. Most recent achievements include racing on the US Sailing team in the Olympic Star Class, Sliver Medal and Bronze Medal in the E22 World Championships and Star World Championships, Worked on and assisting clients with yacht deliveries and cruises to Hawaii, Mexico, and the Pacific Northwest.
Living the lifestyle himself, Michael owns a power boat and a 40’ Beneteau, moored at the San Diego Yacht Club, which he races frequently. Michael, his wife and two children, also frequently cruise, taking annual trips to Catalina Island for Summer Vacation, Mexico or leisurely sunset cruises in San Diego bay.
In addition to being a licensed yacht broker, Michael is also a member of the Southern California Marine Association, dedicated to the promotion and development of the recreational boating industry. Before Dorgan Yachts, Inc., Michael was a repeated “Top Gun”award winner while employed with Southwestern Yachts in San Diego, leading the dealership/brokerage to top “North American Beneteau Dealer of the Year”Award for sales and top “Beneteau Dealer of the Year” Award for customer service numerous times.
