Back Cove Yachts
Back Cove 30
The style of the Down East lobster boat is closely associated with Maine's proud boat building heritage. The Back Cove 30 is a grand example of everything that makes the Down East lobster boat a work of art. She has a traditional spoon bow and her transom is gently sloped: a style that will turn heads in any harbor she enters. Below the surface she is modern and contemporary. A resin infused, deep-vee hull with prop recess and standard trim tabs offers a quiet and comfortable ride. With her standard 315 horsepower 6 cylinder diesel, she will cruise at 20 knots and top out at 25, and with optional higher horsepower, she will cruise at 25 knots. Around the docks, you will appreciate the maneuverability provided by her standard bow thruster and if circumstances require it an optional stern thruster is also available. Her deck hardware is as rugged as the coastline she calls home.
Back Cove 34 In July 2011 we will debut the Back Cove 34. This new model will replace the successful Back Cove 33. Our goal for the Back Cove 34 was to create a cruising yacht with the same simple features, usability and maintenance which have helped build the popularity of the Back Cove brand. With input from many of our current boat owners, we believe that we have created a yacht which offers tremendous value, great style and modern practicality. Below deck is a large and comfortable island berth and a convertible L-settee which can be isolated from the cabin with a curtain. To starboard we offer a large head with separate stall shower. On the helm deck, a full galley stretches out aft of the helm seat and to port is a dinette where four adults can sit to enjoy a meal. The Back Cove 34 has two drawer refrigerators installed under the helm seats. The inlaid table is a fine example of the Maine boat builder's craftsmanship and tradition, evident throughout the Back Cove 34. Forward of the dinette, a double mate's seat is a comfortable perch for the navigator. The helm deck is airy and bright with overhead hatches, opening side windows and a center opening windshield. A Stidd helm chair provides comfort for the helmsman underway.
In her cockpit a large, L-shaped bench seat and a fold-away aft facing seat allow comfortable lounging while underway or when anchored in a peaceful cove. Engine access is extraordinary, as the helm deck, including the port side dinette, lifts hydraulically to expose the yacht's mechanical systems below.
Back Cove 37
For 2009 Back Cove Yachts proudly presents the Back Cove 37, our largest Back Cove model to date, Continuing with the same same practical features, usability and low maintenance, which have built the popularity of the Back Cove brand since it's inception. In the master stateroom there is an island berth and many lockers and drawers. To starboard aft of the master is a full guest cabin with double berth and plenty of storage capacity. Opposite and to port is a large head unit with separate stall shower. Between the lower and salon sole levels, there is a mid-galley. In the salon are twin Stidd seats for helmsman and crew. Aft of the helm seat an L-shaped settee and to port a shorter settee. Engine access is extraordinary, as the helm deck raises to expose the yacht's mechanical systems.
