David is a Maine native with a life-time of boating experience – from vessel ownership and maintenance to extensive piloting and cruising in the Northeast. His most recent sixteen years have been spent serving the public – eight years in Maine’s Legislature, representing several coastal communities and the most recent eight years as the Deputy Commissioner of Maine’s Department of Marine Resources (DMR). Prior to his State service he fished for years as crew on both commercial lobster and swordfish vessels - turning his time at sea and marine knowledge into a USCG 50 Ton Master’s License in 1992. After leaving DMR in early 2011 David worked at a quality Maine yacht brokerage before starting his own firm. He will provide honest, fair and prompt input into your boat purchasing and selling decisions and is available to provide his Captain abilities for deliveries and transits as well as assist the new vessel owner with boating guidance.
Spring, Summer and Fall our office is located aboard M/V MILAGRO - a 1987 43' Albin located at the dock in South Freeport - when not underway. We also utilize our 1983 Mako 21' center console regularly to check in our clients boats when they're within Casco Bay. The Mako is also used to take "underway" photos for their listings. Our belief is that the more quality, up-to-date photos we have to use the better. The years David spent as a professional photographer help yield great photo results which we believe go a long way toward helping make sales. The photo to the right was taken in Casco Bay of a vessel we had listed at that time.
