Hunt Yachts Inc. was formed in 1998 to broaden the base from custom designing to include production, brokerage and new boat sales.For eight years the boatbuilding took place in Dartmouth, MA at the Concordia Company which was founded by Ray Hunt and Waldo Howland in 1937 and was the home of the world famous Concordia yawl. With the popularity of the Surfhunter 25 and 29 the need for larger space saw the factory move to Portsmouth RI in the summer of 2006.
