Meet the Compass Point Yachts Staff
First established in 1992, the name Compass Point Yachts has long been associated with quality yachts and superior customer service and are proud to be the West Coast dealers for Maritimo Yachts, built and designed by Australia’s most awarded boat builder Bill Barry-Cotter.
The Compass Point Yachts team is knowledgeable and professional with a combined 80 years of experience, and committed to exceeding your expectations. To guarantee that you love your new Maritimo from the first moment you own it we arrange for an exclusive Certified Delivery Captain, an Engine Captains Class, and Electronics Specialist; to ensure you know how to properly operate and care for your new boat.

Bill King
Bill first opened Compass Point Yachts in December 1992 in Seattle Washington. Bill and his wife Michelle have since relocated Compass Point Yachts to the Mariners Mile in beautiful Newport Beach, California.
After living on his 57' Chris Craft, Bill decided in 1988 to trade a successful career as vice president of marketing for a local manufacturing company for the powerboat sales business.
Bill served as President of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association in 1993 and Chairperson on the committee that established for the first time a manual on sales tax for yacht sales and charter sales with the State of Washington.

Michelle King
Michelle comes from a high profile industry serving in the capacity as sales manager for over 10 years. She joined the crew at Compass Point Yachts in Seattle to work with her husband and president Bill King in 1998. Michelle served as Treasurer of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association and chair of the Boat Show Committee for NYBA.

Chris Elliott
Chris joined forces with Compass Point Yachts in 1998 and brings a lifetime of experience to the job. Born in Newport Beach, CA, Chris Elliott has been in and around the boating industry for his entire life. His mother was part owner of a yacht manufacturer and his father was a yacht broker / dealer. This provided Chris the opportunity to work and learn the manufacturing and sales sides of the boating industry.
Chris is an avid fisherman and certified diver, who has logged thousands of hours at the helm. Chris knows fishing and is the “go-to-guy” for the new Maritimo 55, a classic battlewagon designed to target big game fishing.

J.R.’S voyage in the boat business has included over a thousand transactions over the years and a continuous process of training and education, inclusive of factory training and guided tours of yacht production facilities all around the United States and in the United Kingdom. His experience and integrity in the marine industry have created a continual solid base of repeat and referral business. Customer service is very important to J.R. and he will work hard for you during the sales process whether you plan to buy or sell your boat. J.R. is a member of

Maritimo
Pronunciation: mare - ah - tea - mo
Function: Brand of high quality Australian built yacht by award winning boating legend and renowned offshore racing champion Bill Barry-Cotter.
Adjectives:
1. Vessel that can plane effortlessly at low speeds, or cruise at 26 knots and ride “softly” on the water at any speed.
2. Superior electrical and steering systems and safer fuel tankage are just some of the advances transferred from the Maritimo’s Offshore Racing program to the luxury yachts.
3. Maritimo’s Cruising Flybridge range includes the 48’ 52’ and 60. All have three staterooms, two saloons, two aft decks, two designer-styled heads, with two helm stations available. They are big yet extremely agile boats, perfect for cruising with a couple, or the family and kids.
