LAZY DAYS is one of the last of the very popular 67 Hatteras Cockpit Motor Yachts built. Her very reliable 12V71TA Detroit Diesels provide a comfortable 16 knot cruising speed with 1170 gallons of fuel available. Her state of the art electronics and entertainment systems, twin gensets, hydraulic bow thruster, accommodations for 3 couples, air conditioned aft deck, roomy cockpit w/barbecue grill, completely soft enclosed fly bridge/upper helm, twin Glendinning shore power hook ups, and Naiad stabilizers are among the many amenities, features and upgrades on this very clean, Hatteras.
Having an aversion to snow, ice and cold weather, and sampled the warm weather of Florida as a marine biology major at University of Miami, I moved from Darien, CT to Florida in 1969.
In the 1970s I was involved with the Associated Marine Institutes in the marine industry field and enjoyed it so much that I decided to make a career of it. Since those days when wood boats ruled the waters, I have been involved in the 1976 Bicentennial Operation Sail, the 1983 Americas Cup and all aspects of selling pleasure yachts all over this hemisphere and Europe.
In recent years I have concentrated on the large power boat market. My interests include hiking, camping, diving (I have been a NAUI dive instructor since 1972), model railroading, physical fitness and family. I currently work out of my home office in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL where I lived since 1980.
I have always been a major promoter of professionalism in our industry and am a charter member of FYBA and a member of CPYB. My knowledge and love of the boating industry spanning almost 40 years is a tremendous benefit when working with individuals seeking to purchase a yacht.
