LUCKY PIERRE is in good structural condition and very fast. In the summer of 2007, she won the Camden to Castine Race, placed second in the Eggemoggin Reach Race, was fourth at the Opera House Cup and took a 2nd and a 3rd at the Herreshoff Rendezvous. Her spar and hardware are original. She comes with an aluminum trailer. Rating 24.1 without spinnaker. Built by George Lawley & Son as hull #966. LUCKY PIERRE originally raced in the Southport Fleet as ERNE. She was rebuilt in 1979 by Mt. Desert Yacht Yard while she was named LUCKY PIERRE. Her previous names include: ERNE (1925-27), OBSESSION, ROVER, SEVEN BELLS (1966-67), and RESOLUTE (1969-75). Her bottom was recaulked and the exterior repainted in the summer (2013) and she was sailing in August.
