Classic C. W. Paine design built by Able Marine in Trenton, Maine. Smaller version of the original 44' model that started the Maine built "Downest" craze. This 36' was custom built for the original owner. Spacious cabin layout with a fully enclosed helm deck, coupled with a large cockpit area makes "Blue Skies" the perfect Downeast Cruiser.
"Blue Skies" sleeps 2 in 1 stateroom, the settee sleeps 1 to accommodate 3 owners and guests. There is 1 owner and guest stateroom including 1 guest head and 1 guest shower.
There is a Vee berth forward with a privacy door. Aft to the main salon with port side convertible straight line settee and hanging locker. Across to starboard side galley. Aft to an enclosed head with hand-held shower. Up and aft to helm deck with starboard side helm, across to port side Mates seat. Aft to convertible straight-line settee and dining table for up to 6 persons. Aft and down to cockpit area with access to full walk-around decks.
Able Marine began the Downeast explosion in 1993 with the introduction of their classic Hard Top Express. "Blue Skies" is a "One Off Custom" version of the original larger 44' model and the smaller 34' version. Classic looks and refined features raise this models head and shoulders above the current "Production" Express models available to today's market.
