TAYLOR MADE is a beautifully maintained example of the Burger classic cruiser motor yacht. She has benefited from 1 owner (last 16 years) constant upgrading and maintenance which is reflected in her condition. She has been a fresh water boat almost all her life, stored in heated storage in the winter and had the same captain for 11 years. This head turning classic S&S designed yacht comfortably accommodates 7 people plus crew for extended cruising and many more for day outings. Owners are retiring from boating. She is currently in covered storage and can be seen at Sassy Marina, Algonac, MI.
Having an aversion to snow, ice and cold weather, and sampled the warm weather of Florida as a marine biology major at University of Miami, I moved from Darien, CT to Florida in 1969.
In the 1970s I was involved with the Associated Marine Institutes in the marine industry field and enjoyed it so much that I decided to make a career of it. Since those days when wood boats ruled the waters, I have been involved in the 1976 Bicentennial Operation Sail, the 1983 Americas Cup and all aspects of selling pleasure yachts all over this hemisphere and Europe.
In recent years I have concentrated on the large power boat market. My interests include hiking, camping, diving (I have been a NAUI dive instructor since 1972), model railroading, physical fitness and family. I currently work out of my home office in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL where I lived since 1980.
I have always been a major promoter of professionalism in our industry and am a charter member of FYBA and a member of CPYB. My knowledge and love of the boating industry spanning almost 40 years is a tremendous benefit when working with individuals seeking to purchase a yacht.
