"Pearl" is a good example of the world renowned Shannon 43.  While known for her offshore capabilities she is also very practical with her shallow draft (keel/centerboard) for the Bahamas and the sounds and bays of the East Coast. 

The Shannon 43 while thought of as an excellent short hander off-shore boat is also quite capable with her 8 berths to accomodate larger crew.
