Pacifc Dream is a very special vessel from the Little Hoquiam Shipyard. Little Hoquiam’s are used regularly in daily commercial applications throughout the current driven, rock infested waters of the Pacific Northwest, and beyond.

She is currently certified by the USCG, as an off shore (100 mile) vessel, with certification for 28+2, and she carries a letter of stability for 49. She is ideally suited for continued commercial use, and she is a very capable candidate for research, passenger ferry, or personal use. Her hull form and low center of gravity combine to offer her owners and guests with a remarkably stable ride in a variety of sea conditions. Converting a private yacht to heavy commercial use just does not produce the same result in terms of offshore safety. By the same token, if those with adventure in mind wish to add interior refinements to this vessel, they would end up with a very handsome vessel, robust enough to confidently venture anywhere in safety and comfort---all at a price well below a used recreational yacht's entry level price.

Along with Pacific Dream’s high day use occupation limits, she sleeps 9 in various staterooms and berths throughout the vessel. If used commercially, her crew of 2 can sleep separate from the guests aboard.

She was built as a beautiful, yet very tough commercial vessel from a clean sheet of paper, through execution. Her layout from her very thick hull layup includes a sealed collision bulkhead forward, with no chain locker as it is a commercial reel, topsides. Aft of the area set aside for her staterooms is another water tight beam to beam bulkhead which sections off a huge 11 by 18 foot room currently used for storage and a large chest freezer. This area is dry, isolated and clean and it would lend itself well to continuing use for storage, but also to house sensitive research equipment or a lab, should Pacific Dream be dispatched for research or film crew support This large area is followed by more watertight bulkheads which house the engine room, another one separates the beam to beam tank room, and one last bulkhead is followed by the lazarette, all the way aft.

Pacific Dream is an ideal candidate for charter fishing work, commercial ferry work, and research. She is also well suited for varying adventure travel assignments as she has the room and heavy construction which is necessary for dive crew support, where you need dive compressors and tank storage on board. There is plenty of room up top for enough kayaks and other gear for her allowable guest limits.

Her original owner had her built to his specs, and this is why her house dimensions (width wise) were reduced. This allows for double wide side decks where people carrying a variety of gear can move freely. This also resulted in cabin space which remains ample, yet lowers the vessel’s center of gravity for smooth ride and significant reduction in roll.

She is equipped with easy to use, state of the art, proven electronics and safety equipment.

Pacific Dream should be compared with any new, like vessel. No evidence of a spill or mishap is present anywhere on board.

Her sharp entry cuts through the water, and her dramatically flared bow, rolls the waves out and downward, reducing spray and producing a very level ride. As the bow begins to dip in to the wave, the reserve buoyancy of her flared bow comes in to play, producing one of the finest rides afloat. Her very wide decks are coated with an extremely durable surface, which is suitable for both heavy boots and gear, and bare feet alike. Cleats are mounted high, eliminating toe stubbers on board.

When fishing, her captain leaves one of the salt water wash down hoses on all the time in order to keep her decks clean and footing sure. Along with sure footing, secure hand grips are present throughout with schedule 40 welded safety and grab rails, rounded edges, and every piece of safety gear necessary for private or commercial assignments.

The trolling valve on her starboard transmission lets her go as slow as you want in order to attract any species out there. She is equipped with a versatile combination of plumbed deck tanks, storage, and prep areas, making her suitable for a variety of fishing and outdoor excursions and activities.

Pacific Dream has also had a new Garmin GPS 4212 state of the current art plotter, a new HD Intellian HDTV, elecrrical downrigger reels (6 x 12 volt stations), several sodium bright deck flood lights, and other items recently installed!

If you are looking for a rock solid vessel for commercial or private use, rest assured that you have found a very fine vessel, which deserves your personal inspection. I am very proud to present this vessel, and I am sure that your inspection will leave you admiring a vessel that was clearly born from an unfailing commitment to design excellence, and production quality. Pacific Dream stands ready and able to work and perform anywhere you need speed, safety, and efficiency.
