Voted Sailing World’s Overall Boat of the Year, the Santa Cruz 52 is undoubtedly one of the finest racer/cruisers ever built. ISIS was built as the total cruise boat with a super shallow six foot draft. The boat has a custom fin and bulb designed to give her the same sailing performace as the other 52's in all but up wind conditions. There she gives back a little in height but makes up for it in offwind speed. Sail up and anchor close to shore something other boats of this size only dream about. Easily handled by a cruising couple, the 52’s interior finish and accommodations rival that of the finest yachts in the world. Finished in teak and beautiful fiddleback maple veneers, ISIS' spacious two stateroom layout and well appointed main salon and galley will comfortably accommodate owners and guests for an extended cruise. To this end, ISIS has been painstakingly optimized for serious cruising by an owner who has spared absolutely no expense. Hurricane diesel cabin/domestic water heater w/ main engine heat exchanger (3 zones of cabin heating) Northstar chartplotter and Furuno radar system , ICOM M710-RT marine SSB, Ham radio all ready for snailmail/winlink e-mail, 150 amp alternator (rebuilt in '06), Freedom 2000 watt inverter, Max Prop, Spectra watermaker, on-demand propane water heater - the list goes on… In 2007 Isis had a major refit including new sails, new canvas, all new Lewmar hatches, new rudder bearings, full mast refit and a new LED Tri Color light, boom refit, total hydraulics rebuild, inner headstay replaced and all the thru hulls re built. Isis has proven that Bill Lee was right – Fast really is Fun!
