Thain Boats, Inc., is a new Northwest Company building brand new boats with the distinctive look of boats of the late 20's to mid 30's. The Rueul Parker inspired Pilot House is fiberglass with the rest of the vessel built of mahogany. This boat is designed for safety and efficiency! Built with a 1 1/2" marine ply bottom and a 1" hull, and then layered with fiberglass, she has a draft of 2'4" and a beam of 13'4". Classic lines and look with all the amenities of a new vessel. The best part; her 135hp diesel Perkins engine pushes her at 11 knots at 3.0 gallons per hour and 6 knots @1.8gph. With her "Plumb" bow, she cuts gently through the waves without climbing them and pounding down. The demo model has two heads with elec. toilets and two showers. Master V-berth queen, large dinette area with bench seating, galley and helm area. Down aft is the saloon area and again aft to a large "Fantail" deck with ample seating area. Also, all stairways are residential width with normal sized steps, not skinny narrow ones. Displacement is 20,000 lbs. Capacities are: fuel 300, fresh water 300, grey water 150 and black water 150. The whole idea here is to have the beautiful classic lines of the 20's and 30's with the most modern features and significantly less maintenance. The Thain can be built to suit your specific needs. One head or two, one stateroom or two. Galley up or down, large aft fantail deck or a smaller one so that the saloon can be maximized. Currently powered with a Perkins diesel engine, that can be changed to the specific desires of the buyer. Also standard is a bow thruster for ease of maneuvering a single engine vessel. Generators, Inverters; anything you want you can have as part of your design. Built here in Everett Washington, the vessel takes approx. 6 months to complete, once ordered.
