Newly commissioned and brand new, this catamaran was brought into Hong Kong by the owner of a charter company with the intention to use the boat for charter purposes. Due to unforeseen circumstances the boat can no longer be used for charter. The boat was built this year in 2009, has been fully commissioned and test sailed and is unused and brand new. This is the ideal opportunity for someone to buy a catamaran which has been specifically developed to be easily sailed. Able to accommodate up to 30 guests, the boat has also been designed to be operated by one person. All engines and sail controls are easily accessible from the central helm position. With the unique roller furling, fully battened mainsail and the furling jib which has been included, raising and lowering the sails is a one person operation. The major design feature of the Seawind Resort 1050 is its huge main deck offering safe, stable and comfortable day accommodation for guests and owner. Protection from the elements is achieved by the large fibreglass hard top, with roll up clear windows all round. This gives great visibility and a feeling of spaciousness and relaxed comfort for all on board. Other features include:
• A high quality Gelcoat finish, non-slip on all horizontal surfaces, easy to clean and maintain
• Construction if FRP foam sandwich, hulls of Vinyl Ester Resin. Watertight areas under bunks are foam filled to provide positive buoyancy.
• Main deck/saloon offer an aluminium framed fibreglass hardtop over main deck providing protected seating for guests
• Comfortable, secure and protected seating
Although this catamaran is built originally for the purposes of charter, it is a large boat with a lot of accessible space and therefore can be converted to a comfortable cruiser to suit the needs of someone wishing to cruise Asia and even further destinations. The opportunity to transform the boat to the needs of the new owner is made available by the fact that all options are there for sailing with space and room for added features which can be integrated in time. Features currently existing on the boat include the fact that design and finishes allow for easy maintenance and cleaning.
