What else can we say about Lyle Hess' designs? How was is so that this man seems to be the master of small and elegant vessels that satisfy the soul as much as every human need. The NorSea 27 is a masterpiece of design and construction with a great purpose in mind! It is actually the best bluewater capable boat that you can put on a trailer and drag to all the amazing cruising grounds that most of us will never see!
his very special offering, "No News" is hull number 76. She was one of the last boats to leave Dean Wixoms shop at Heritage Marine which closed soon after. Her first owners lived in Alaska and owned the boat until 1992. These folks actually started the NorSea newsletter! Later, No News, plied the waters of the Great Lakes with new owners for some ten years with occasional trips tot he Bahamas in winter. In 2004, a new couple took the helm and started on a 1000 hour refit of the interior which we thank them for. The boat is beautiful, really lovely.
No News has had some fun recently. In 2005 her owners cruised the San Juan and Gulf Islands of the Pacific Northwest.
