This handsome 38' Downeast Flybridge Cruiser has been extensively rebuilt and lovingly restored over the course of two years by Harold Burnham of Essex, Ma and her knowledgeable owner. She was built originally by J.O. Brown of North Haven, Maine and is powered with twin GM V6 diesels, 165 hp each. She cruises easily at approximately 14 knots and with her built-down hull configuration, provides for a smooth, seaworthy, comfortable ride. Some of her additional upgrades include new Evolution engine mounts and flexible couplings for vibration-free running, PSS dripless shaft seals, all new 8D batteries and wiring throughout (new at time of rebuild in 1999). Espar diesel heat, electric oil change system, Simpson Lawrence electric windlass with gypsy, new Robertson autopilot, Northstar 941XD GPS, Furuno 24 mile radar (all three interfaced), CD/AM/FM stereo, and much more.
