Vessel Description “Irish Rover” is the new flagship of the Marlow line and their first yacht over 100 feet. She is an exceptional long-range cruiser, as well as the perfect weekender to entertain family and friends to enjoy without the 3-year construction wait. This yacht is constructed to the rigorous standards of ABS and Lloyd’s Register Ocean Class A. Like other Marlows, she is built without wood framing or stringers and her hull was designed around the unique Marlow Veloci Strut Keel, which is credited with both enhanced stability and performance. Twin keels on each side of the center line protect the propellers and act as stabilizers to dampen the rolling motion. Naiad stabilizers and a Sea-Keeper gyro stabilizer combine to provide a rock-solid ride. Another unique Marlow innovation is the use of Full Stack Infusion, a process that uses an extreme vacuum and miles of tubing to impregnate the entire hull layup of unidirectional stitched fibers, Kevlar and Corecell foam coring with a precise flow of resin and catalyst. The result is a laminate and minimized weight. This impressive technology has won international awards for innovation. The technology extends beyond construction, providing a slippery hull design that offers exceptional economy. The top speed is around 27 knots at 2300 rpm, with a cruising speed of about 20 knots at 1900 rpm, and a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at 9 knots. The main deck offers a formal dining area to accommodate eight, separated from the main salon by a pillared divider that contains a large pop-up television. The galley enjoys its own doorway to the side deck to make provisioning a breeze. The upper deck sky-lounge and command bridge are well arranged with plenty of space, a comfortable corner settee with table, and a day head. Just outside the sundeck is equipped with an outdoor galley, complete with three stools, and a built-in BBQ, and a Jacuzzi spa. In all this Explorer Yacht has 4 microwaves, 2 stove tops, 2 outdoor country kitchens, and 2 grills (1 gas, 1 electric). The master suite is conveniently located forward on the main deck, offering owners a wonderful panoramic view out of large windows. The master head offers an incredible hand-carved white marble tub, his and hers hand-carved sink basins, and a simply stunning black Shanxi granite floor. Guests are also well accommodated on the lower deck with six staterooms offering a variety of space, including a very large suite that would rival the master on most yachts of this size. Forward is a second VIP suite in addition to two mirrored staterooms, and two cabins with double berths that are perfect for kids. A mini-galley located in the lower foyer is convenient for guests staying aboard to feel at home. The private crew’s quarters, located aft of the engines, are also well situated with their own mini-galley. |
