General Description Beowulf was built in 1985 as a Center cockpit sloop built by Cooper Yachts and designed by Stan Huntingford and represents years of offshore design work. She has the tankage for extended cruising. A cockpit that can easily seat 8 with large open deck space for handling sails and launching dinghies. Loads of new gear and a new fiberglass bottom and new throughull fittings was completed in 2003 making Beowulf a boat that will endure forever. Its interior is finished in ash throughout. There is 7' headroom throughout the vessels cabins. The sleeping quarters are spaced out with privacy in mind. The forward v-berth comfortably sleeps two adults; a large master aft cabin with queen size bed sleeps two adults. The master cabin has an ensuite head w/electric flush & separate full shower w/mini bath. The forward head has a manual toilet & separate shower. The main cabin is one of the largest of this size vessel and features the nav. station, u-shaped dinette with seating for six and the galley has very workable space and storage. There are lockers and cabinets throughout in ash and oak. 5 large opening hatches and 9 opening Newfound Metals Stainless Steel portholes with fans throughout. The fully enclosed wheelhouse provides excellent 360° visibility. This world cruiser had many upgrades to its systems, received an extremely high level of maintenance throughout and shows superbly. |
