2008-2010 Restoration Details
  • Removal of all hardware and wood trim
  • Sandblasting of the hull to bare fiberglass
  • Fastidious refinishing and repainting with Pettit two-part epoxy of the deck, hull, mast, and boom
  • Deck resurfacing with KiwiGrip in a medium nonstick pattern
  • Seven coats of InterProtect 2000 antifouling paint
  • Replacement of all external trim with African mahogany by a professional cabinetry craftsman
  • Hatch cover fabricated of alternating strips of mahogany and maple (striking and gorgeous)
  • Replacement of all thru-hull fittings with new bronze valves
  • Refurbishment of classic bronze hardware: cleats, winches, chocks, etc.
  • Replacement of tracks, blocks, tiller shift, and other hardware with modern gear
  • Reinstallation of hardware with backing plates using “West System” technology for superior strength

Outfitted with Top-of-the-Line Sails, Sheets, and Sail-Handling Systems:

  • Rolly Tasker fully battened main, 100% jib, and 150% genoa all in excellent condition and all new in 2008 with very light use
