Remarks

Designed by long established British Naval Architect, Rob Humphreys, Kaiso was launched in 2007 in Southampton, UK and sailed across the Atlantic towards the end of the year. She has remained in the Caribbean ever since, being used for pleasure cruising and occasional skippered chartering and regatta use.

She is fast, while being secure and comfortable. Kaiso is the only ‘shoal’ draft version of the Sovereign 400 (all other models were over 7’) but the keel weight and ballast ration remains at 0.46 making her stiff compared to most similar class cruising boats meaning she will hold full sail for longer when the wind picks up. Quality fittings all round such as lewmar winches and hatches have been fitted.

The specification has been gradually upgraded in recent years and most recently with safety gear for long distance cruising. The owner has done many thousands of miles cruising on Kaiso and found her safe, enjoyable and rewarding to sail. She’s a no nonsense offshore cruiser for who people enjoy the journey but don’t

want an out and out racer. When you’re behind the wheel, she’ll put a smile on your face…
