Decks and Construction The Ohlson 38 was designed by Mr. Einar Ohlson and complete by Ohlson Brothers in Sweden. The hull was built by the Tyler Boat Company in England. The hull is built entirely of fiberglass, using cloth laid up by hand, with 6,000 lbs of lead inside for less maintenance and prevention of keel bolt leaks. Vertical plywood stiffeners in the bow and stern, which are encapsulated in hand, laid fiberglass, provide even more longitudinal stiffness. Fiberglass Rudder. Hull molded under the supervision of Lloyd’s. Every Ohlson 38 hull has a Lloyd’s Certificate. |
