Summary of Accommodation:
Description of layout from forwards: The forward double cabin has a vee berth (storage under) with hanging lockers aft, large opening deck hatch and circular port-lights to each hull side and facing forward. The cabin is fully lined and trimmed with a very high level of joinery on display and solid timber sole.
Moving aft is the dinette to port with comfortable seating for four, beautifully finished table and opening circular port-light and longer fixed pane. There is plentiful storage below the sole, and in lockers towards the port hull side. There is drawer storage below the seating and the table drops to form an occasional double berth. One step down onto the galley level, and to starboard is a linear galley area with a timber draining board, sink, fridge and hob with oven aft. Again, plentiful cupboard and locker stowage here, below the cabin soles, and a good view out for the cook. Microwave and cooker face forward, with the twin sinks central, and the refrigerator and deep-freeze facing aft. The area is carpeted with a beautiful teak and holly floor beneath, and excellent engine bay access three an opening stair section aft.
A couple of shallow steps lead up and aft to the saloon. The main helm and switching panel is to port at the top of the stairs, with a navigation table and deep chart drawers to starboard, with a sliding side deck access door to port and starboard and helm seat. The main lower console is fully fitted, with battery switching and access to the ships electrics and hydraulic steering beneath. Aft of the helm chair is a sideboard with good stowage and a Newport heater stove. Fours stairs lead up and aft to the aft deck and upper helm through an access door and hinged lid – beautifully crafted in timber, and a set of companionway stairs lead down and aft to the aft cabin. The starboard side of the main saloon is a long J-shaped settee, with a free-standing timber table (which can be screwed to the sole for heavy weather). The saloon windows are large and ivory curtains – with reading lamps and ceiling lights.
Three fixed stairs lead down to the aft cabin corridor, with a shower and sink compartment to starboard, and head and sink compartment to port. The aft cabin has two single berths to each side, with a central infill piece at the head to form a settee on the centreline, with each side having a bedside shelf and a mirrored locker aft. There are two hull lights to each berth, and the woodwork is top quality here also.
The engine room is accessed through three saloon floor lifting panels (they are quite heavy!), with centreline engine and fuel tanks outboard. The spare prop is aft to starboard, with Separ fuel filters to the forward port side of the engine bay. There is checker-plate working flooring around the prime mover, and the engineering is small-ship standard.
The aft deck helm is well protected, with hinging side and forward screens, canvas dodgers, access door to the saloon, steps to the side decks and aft decks cleats and fairleads are mounted, and a ladder aft leads to the bathing platform. Two large gas bottles are located in a locker under the slatted bench lying across the aft deck, and the solid stainless steel rails are capped with varnished teak.
