Accommodations Grand Banks has always been noted for their thoughtful consideration to ergonomics and the cruiseability of their boats and the Eastbay 54 is no exception. With their superb natural light and ventilation, gourmet galleys, comfortable staterooms and salon that open to an expansive cockpit, the Eastbay 54 is at once comfortable for cruising as a couple or entertaining a far larger party. Full satin varnished teak interior with varnished teak and holly sole throughout, seven polished stainless steel ports, 2 Dorades, and 3 stainless steel hatches provide plenty of light and ventilation below. The salon, completely surrounded by large windows, two of them opening sliders as well as 2 overhead hatches is particularly inviting. All of the ports are fitted with screens and all of the hatches are fitted with Ocean Air combination screens/blinds. When natural ventilation alone is not adequate, 4 zone reverse cycle (heats and cools) air conditioning will keep the yacht comfortable. Twelve volt DC lighting throughout with numerous Cantalupi overhead lamps and swivel style reading lamps at each berth and settee. In addition, the owners have added a number of tasteful free standing 110 volt reading lamps. Starting forward is the Master Stateroom featuring a 60" X 80" island queen berth below where there is storage in large cargo drawers. Additional bin type storage is accessible below the berth for less frequently used type items. Outboard are lockers with sliding doors while aft and to starboard are additional drawers and then a large hanging locker while to port is a hanging locker and then access to the private Master Head. The master head features a separate stall shower, Vacuflush fresh water W.C., and generous vanity with Silestone counter top and Corian undermount sink and ample storage. Aft and to port is the Guest Stateroom with thwartship running twin berths below which there are large cargo drawers. On center line outboard is cedar lined hanging locker. Opposite is the Guest Head with separate stall shower compartment, Vacuflush W.C., Silestone topped vanity with Corian sink and storage in a number of lockers and drawers. Aft of the Guest Head is the Office area fitted with writing desk, numerous drawers and lockers and at the forward end a cabinet with louvered door that houses the combination washer/dryer. Opposite is the expansive Galley with Silestone counters and back splash with undermounted polished Scandvik double basin stainless steel sink. Cooking is handled from the 4 burner Princess electric cooktop while baking or re-heats is easily managed with the large Sharp convention microwave oven below. Ample space for refrigerated food stuffs in 2 large SubZero boxes, the onboard of which is a refrigerator/freezer. As one can see from the photos, there are numerous lockers for storage. Up three steps (storage under) to the Salon. Forward and to port is a small "breakfast counter" with two swivel chairs. The flip top of this table allows access to a compartment capable of storing a good number of chart kits and nav. tools. Immediately aft is the full length L-settee with some storage under while opposite two swivel type barrel chairs with storage compartments under are either side of the entertainment system compartment. Double opening doors allow you to bring the outside in when the weather permits. To starboard is the helm station with all vessel controls, electrical switch panels, and navigation systems. A "true double" Admiral backed Stidd chair provides helm station seating. The Stidd chair is fitted with electronic control & adjustment for both up and down and fwd and back. Throughout the Eastbay 54, it is a wonderfully comfortable yacht to be aboard.

Hull & Deck Fiberglass hull with solid fiberglass construction from the chine flat to centerline with closed cell foam coring above the chine flat, built with Hydrex resin in the outer skin laminate for superior osmotic blister resistance. In addition, the bottom of the boat is epoxy barrier coated. The hull is finished with Flag Blue gel coat in excellent condition with gold cove stripe and Awgripped white/blue boot stripe. The bottom is finished red epoxy antifouling. Fiberglass partially cored PVC closed cell foam cored house and deck with white gel coat on the house and waterways and Awlgrip Moondust in non-skid areas. The cockpit has a teak overlay that is in excellent condition showing virtually no wear. The Eastbay 54 is given a moderate amount of varnished teak trim in her toe rails, the brow on the house and her dorade boxes; enough to make her a classy looking yacht without being more than one wishes to care for. Starting aft is the expansive cockpit with aft facing bench seats at the forward end and then an abundance of space for deck chairs table, etc. A wide transom door to starboard allows easy access to the swim platform. Below the cockpit there is extensive storage in three lazarette spaces. Up two steps to the wide side decks with stainless safety rails providing easy access forward. There are line/fender storage lockers either side of the anchor pulpit.
