INTRODUCTION The timeless lines, varnished rails, & teak decks of “KAKAWI” appeal to generations of yachtsmen. During the 3 year build of KAKAWI, the owner elected to upgrade the equipment of his boat to higher level of quality when compared to other yachts in class. KAKAWI offers her captain a full GMDSS console, FLIR night vision system, plus an impressive suite of FURUNO electronics. KAKAWI offers her guests 360 degree views from the flybridge, a covered aft deck, popular country kitchen, plus four luxurious staterooms below deck. CAT C 32s allow KAKAWI to cruise effortlessly in the 20 knot range with a top speed of 29.5 knots.

VESSEL WALKTHROUGH When you step aboard KAKAWI onto the large aft deck, you are greeted by an elegant looking outdoor living area. There is a large teak inlaid table with comfortable seating for 8 people. Forward and to starboard is a bar area with three swing-out upholstered stools and behind the bar is a refrigerator, grill, sink and icemaker. Going forward you step up into the Salon with a full unobstructed view forward to the dining area. With her large windows you have excellent views in all directions. The Salon has teak and holly floors and Burmese teak finished walls offering a stunning appearance throughout the boat. There are two large sofas one to port and one starboard separated by a large teak coffee table with two comfortable designer chairs aft. Forward of the Salon and separated by a built-in island cabinet that houses a 46" Sharp Aquos pop-up flat screen TV, is the dining area with a large table comfortably seating 8 people. There is extensive storage in this area for fine china, crystal and everything needed for extended cruising. There is also a large wine storage cooler for white and red wines. The storage throughout the entire boat is exceptional. Moving forward and up three steps you enter the Galley that is the perfectly set-up to serve the finest gourmet meals. The Galley is large, open and very well equipped. Forward of the Galley is the lower helm and a comfortable seating area with table to port. The helm is equipped with the finest electronics you will see on a boat this size, including a complete GMDSS set-up and night vision camera. Stairs from this area lead down to three of the Staterooms including the Master Stateroom which is aft and full beam. There are his and her heads with a large shower area between the two. There are four closets in the Master Stateroom and two additional closets in the heads. There is also drawer storage throughout and a large storage area under the king-size bed. The Master Stateroom is large, full beam and stunningly finished with the finest owner chosen fabrics and Shoji screen window treatments. Forward of the Master is the second of two VIP Staterooms (the other VIP is amidships, full beam and very large with private entrance from the salon). To port and aft of the second VIP is the fourth stateroom which has twin beds and ensuite head and shower. There is a Wave Wifi system throughout the boat. All staterooms are finished to the highest level with designer fabrics and Shoji screen window treatments. In this forward living area and to starboard is the second of two laundry areas and a nanny's bunk with a deep freeze below. There are two sets of stairs to the bridge, one to port of the Galley and the other from the Aft Deck. Entering the bridge you step onto one of the real highlights of this 97 Marlow. Forward is the helm and slightly aft to port and starboard are two large seating areas each with a beautiful large teak table. With the double and single Stidd chairs forward, this area will comfortably seat 10 to 12 people in an area that can be open or closed with an EZ2CY enclosure. The Aft Deck also has a full EZ2CY enclosure. Moving aft you have a complete bar area to starboard with a professional stainless gas grill. To port is a large double sun bed. This entire area can be covered with an electrically controlled sun awning. Moving further aft is the large teak decked bridge area that accommodates the 15' Nautica tender with a 70hp Yamaha and a 2200 lb crane. This area is also set-up to accommodate several tables and chairs for entertaining a large party. The Crew's Quarters are entered from the 8' swim platform or separate stairs from the port side of the aft deck. From the swim platform you go down into the large lazarette with access to steering systems, tool boxes, storage, second laundry area and a refrigerator. Moving forward you step into the crew area with twin bunks to starboard and a single bunk to port. There is a dining table and settee in this area. The Crew has a separate head and shower forward to starboard. There is a microwave for the crew and a deep freezer under bunk. Forward through a watertight door is the large, well-laid out Engine Room with 6'6" headroom and space to get to all necessary equipment including the two generators. When you read the equipment list that follows you will realize what an exceptional boat KAKAWI is. |
