Das Original zu diesem Schiff, die "Freedom", entstand 1931 nach einem Entwurf von John G. Alden in Holz.

Nach den Originalplänen wurde dieser klassische Langkieler 1997 von der ukrainischen Nikolai Werft in Stahl auf Kiel gelegt, Erstwasserung war 2001. Um auch den härtesten Bedingungen trotzen können wurde der Schoner aus 12mm Stahl über Wasser und 16mm Stahl unter Wasser gefertigt. Die alten Zeichnungen wurden 1:1 übernommen, die Spantenanzahl und Rumpfkonstruktion entspricht der des Holzschiffes (!), für ein vielfaches an Stabilität.

Sie verfügt neben dem Deckshaus und einem sehr geräumigen, hellen Salon mit über 2m Stehöhe über 1 Eignerkabine (mittschiffs backbord), 3 Gästekabinen, alle en suite, noch über 2 Crewkabinen von achtern separat begehbar. Dazu einen eigenen Vorratsraum sowie Utility-raum für Waschmaschine und Trockner.

Mit knapp 7t Diesel, 6t Frischwasser, 2 Generatoren, Wassermacher und Tauchkompressor ist das Schiff bei Bedarf für lang Zeit völlig autark.

2011 erhielt sie ein komplettes Refit inkl. Überholung von Motor, Ankerwinsch und Bugstrahlruder, dazu neuer Tauchkompressor, neue Dinghies, neue Elektrik und Elektronik, neue Batterien, neue Sicherheitsausrüstung, neue Rettungsinseln, komplett überholtem NECO Marine 2000 XTE Autopilot etc.. . Sie ist seeklar und in erstklassigem Zustand.

Die Inzahlungnahme einer ernsthafen Blauwasseryacht um die 65´ wäre eventuell möglich.

The original of this ship, the "Freedom", was a designed by John G. Alden, and build in 1931 as a wooden gentlemen´s cruiser.

Following the original construction layout, this classical long keel yacht was built in 1997 by the ucranian Nikolai Shipyard and launched in 2001.
For beeing able to withstand even the hardest conditions she was build of 12mm steel over and 16mm steel below the water line. The old drawings where fulfilled 1:1, number of frames and the entire construction are from the wood design which results in stability increased many times over.

Besides the deckhouse and a very spacious saloon with more than 2 meters of headroom, she has 1 master stateroom (mid ships on port side), 3 guest staterooms all en suit and 2 crew cabins with shared head and seperate access in the aft. Additionally there are a storage cabin and utility room with laundry and dryer.

With almost 7t gasoil, 6t fresh water, 2 generators, watermaker and dive compressor she may be completely independent for a very long time.

2011 she received a complete refit including overhaul of engine, windlass, bowthruster, new dive compressor, new auxiliaries, new electric and electronic, new batteries, new safty equipment, new life rafts, completely overhauled autopilot NECO Marine 2000 XTE Autopilot etc.. . She is in excellent condition and ready to sail.

The owner would eventually consider a trade-in of a serious bluewater cruiser around 65`.
