Peformance Data To follow is the performance sheet we made up on the 43 Viking Express, before and after installing the lifting rails aft and the spray rails forward. In addition to these accomplishments the biggest plus was the DRY RIDE!!!!! If you have run one of these boats in any kind of sea, you will be totally impressed with what huge change this boat has to offer. Not only super dry ride, but she comes up top quicker, most especially loaded for a two day trip! Stays on top at lesser RPM's, rides flatter, so you get better view. Plus – the “load’ went down at every RPM, Temp went down on all RPM and fuel burned was substantially less at every RPM…speed was up at most every RMP - which makes more range out of every tank of Fuel! A total "win-win" addition and the reason Viking never did this is because the hull wouldn't come out of a mold with these on.... And it doesn't affect you at haul out time because the lifting straps go forward of the aft rails and aft of the forward rails.
