BROKER'S REMARKS NEWCASTLE was chosen as the shipyard to build HARBOUR ISLAND because of its facility, work force, its reputation for producing yachts that travel the world's oceans (and HARBOUR ISLAND is one of those yachts) and its close proximity to Ft Lauderdale, the Megayachting capital of the world. Its location to Ft Lauderdale made for a short 30 minute private jet ride to the yard, making it possible to have the designer, engineer, interior designer and owner visit as often as needed to give the build every moment of attention necessary to complete this pedigree yacht. HARBOUR ISLAND is a truly magnificent yacht whose build quality would rival that of any Northern European pedigree shipyard. She was built by an experienced yachtsman who made sure the build included every opportunity to be successful by providing the finest supervision, engineering, design, time and quality available today.
