Step aboard this 28 Albin TE 2000 from the swim ladder and enter the cockpit through the transom door into the spacious and Sunbrella and Textilene screen-enclosed cockpit with several folding captain’s chairs and a large cooler with custom padded seat. The transom has several large, hinged, top-loading storage compartments and the starboard side has built in recessed storage racks for boat hooks, deck brushes or fishing rods. The raised insulated engine compartment hatch is centered in the cockpit and has a custom cushion for additional seating. Moving forward on each side are comfortable helm and companion seats and the companionway is centered under the pilothouse Windshield, with opening center panel for ventilation.

Step down several steps into the air conditioned cabin with a double quarterberth aft to port with an opening port providing ventilation and light, and a functional galley with refrigerator/freezer, microwave, sink with H/C pressure water, countertops and plenty of storage to port. There are a total of six opening ports in the cabin plus a large opening deck hatch. Opposite the galley is the private head with an L-shaped vanity molded countertop, sink, shower, Jabsco toilet, plenty of storage above and below the countertop, and two opening window ports.

Forward is the Convertible dinette with a table that drops to form a large full-beam V-berth. The V-Berth cushions are thick and show as new. Side cushions outboard and forward of the berth are hinged at the top providing access to storage areas and the forward area provides optional length for a taller guests. Forward of the head teak bulkhead is a storage cabinet with a countertop and the Stereo CD Player is built in for easy access. The cabin has generous 12V lighting and several 110V GFCI electrical outlets for use when connected to the 30A Shorepower circuit. The cabin sole was re-carpeted in 2010 and shows as new.

The Galley is centered in the boat on the port side where the motion underway is most comfortable for the chef. The galley features:

• Norcold 12V Refrigerator/Freezer.
• Samsung Microwave.
• SS Deep Sink with Pressure H/C Water.
• Storage above and below countertop
• Hinged folding extra countertop section aft.

Engine room access is conveniently located in the middle of the cockpit floor and the large hinged cover with sound dampening insulation on the inside provides excellent access to the Yanmar 6 Cylinder 6LP-STE 300 HP Diesel engine with approximately 680 hours. At 650 hours, in 2010, this engine had the top end and valves rebuilt, new turbo installed, and at the same time, the prop was trimmed and re-pitched to increase RPM speed and to reduce engine loading. This was a known issue with Albin 28 models of this vintage and these changes have improved engine and boat performance. Average Cruise speed is 16.4 knots @ 3,600 RPMs and fuel burn is approximately 8 GPH; but fuel burn is only 2 GPH at 8 knots. Other features include:
