The vessel is reported to have been damaged in a Gulf Coast hurricane and has undergone general restoration. In 2007 during a scheduled out of the water survey, Water Boy’s fiberglass construction was found to be in sound condition. Two areas of repair were found: mid bow forward and port side mid aft at the waterline. The boat has been repaired and refitted as needed. However, the air-conditioning is not functional at this time and the stereo speaker in the cockpit on the starboard side needs replacing.
