COMMENTS
The Y0101 is under construction at the Factoria Naval de Marín shipyard close to Vigo in the North of Spain and could be ready for delivery to a new owner at the beginning of 2009. She is a long range displacement yacht with 5 cabins in total, including a large owners suite on the main deck and 4 guest cabins below. She boasts a doubled up stabilising sytem with normal Wesmar stabilisers and at zero speed she has the SIS Stabtech Systems Static Stabilizers.

Several main features of the yacht originate in the design. The first is the performance, which is based on vast experience with displacement hulls widely tested around the world. Low added resistance with head seas, high directional stability, sailing comfort and efficiency in terms of power and consumption are only a few of the numerous advantages. Her interior volume and deck surfaces are comparable to many other yachts exceeding her dimensions, yet her general appearance is that of a sleek, stylized yacht. With the hull built in high resistance steel and the watertight compartments, both required by the Class society and MCA, and characterized with high stability, the yacht can be valued as a very safe vessel in all conditions.

In addition to the yacht’s construction results, quality of the finishes and workmanship, special care has been taken by Factoria Naval de Marín with regards to the noise isolation and vibration control, as well as the supply of equipment with fully reliable systems.

SIS-STABILIZING INTEGRATED SYSTEM

The SIS (Stabilizing Integrated System) works like the pectoral fins of the reef fish. When the yacht is at zero speed, the fins are opened, working as large bilge keels with a great damping efficiency. Under way the fins are folded as part of the hull surface. The main advantages of this patented system are:
- High efficiency.
- Increase of the natural rolling period of the yacht.
- No power consumption. No noise or vibrations.
- No added resistance under way.

INTERIOR DESIGNER´S COMMENTS

The general concept of the yacht is based on the usage of materials as a reference of her quality, rather than on the usual classic aesthetic reference that has come to define the imaginary “Standard” yacht by using intense colored moldings and lacquers. Considering this increasingly demoded impression, we have created a design of sober minimalism more in line with the new Italian tendencies, which focus on interior high quality materials and finish, giving the boat a more contemporary appearance.

The lower deck locating guest staterooms has been designed with hotel room features, offering complete modern technical services and an aesthetic presentation of elegant wall fabrics combined with comfortable leather decorating the equipment. The bathrooms are fitted with neutral quality materials, such as the Corian, the Italian Gressite and the Royal Blue stone of Brazil, exhibiting them with a fresh modern style and a sensation of amplitude beyond their actual dimensions.

The main deck was designed and conceived to serve its purpose as a social saloon, discarding the privacies of the upper deck but well-equipped with full services for its functional means, featuring a double set of B&B Italia sofas separated by a specifically designed table and outlining two different settings, one exhibiting a plasma screen fitted in the bar counter that occupies the entire forward bulkhead, and the other imaging an aft reception area. The galley is a true gastronomical laboratory, totally reinforced with scraped stainless steel and fitted with designed-to-measure equipment to ensure perfect adjustment with maximum support, whilst incorporating all the facilities to attend twenty guests simultaneously. The Master stateroom was designed with the aim to enhance space and volume in a clear rectangular surface with a double bathroom, where only a large shower compartment is shared, leaving the two separate toilets at port and starboard.

The upper deck is the main level for the Owner’s use. It consists of a comfortable lounge/dining room complemented with a bar and a game table, and equipped with B&B Italia sofas as well as a hidden TV screen in the starboard bulkhead. The stern closing was modified with a redesign of the yacht’s initial layout, featuring two curved glass sliding doors that lead to a round table with two different sized bunks for different space requirements and fitted to the curved unit. On the bridge dark brown leather works stand out, matching harmoniously with other instrument frameworks in matte-black polycarbonate to produce night-effect, avoid reflection and provide a more comfortable navigation.

The sunbathing area is a diaphanous and ample surface aimed to provide the ultimate quality of space. Its elliptical table of 14 seats is complemented with an office and a bar, where light meals and summer parties can be easily prepared due to the availability of full, competent equipment (Tepan Yaki, grill barbecue, ice-maker and refrigerators) supported by a freight elevator with direct connection to the galley. A smaller, more private table for daily use is available at bow, as well as a retractable shower that may be reduced to minimum length during cruise.

The originality of the concept lies in the usage of few materials in an unusual manner, such as placing the oak vein horizontally or using Wengue as sole element for pavements, thus presenting an innovation with appreciable benefits on the yacht’s general aspect and space.

This well built and stylish yacht represents excellent value for money and is available for almost immediate delivery.
