Specifications While attention to detail is an honored do or die prerequisite in what the eye sees in a yacht, attention to detail in what is deep in a yacht, from an engineering point of view, is even more important. For a yard to embark on a new model these days, getting it right from the bottom up is a challenge that even well known yards find daunting. For DeBirs Yachts however, and given its Aviation thinking and approach to engineering, the new 100 Sports Yacht came out with the precision of a first class business jet. What is striking is while a major yard in Europe recently rolled out their 90 ton yacht category with a transversal weight difference in a their first hull within 1.7 % of the total weight, DeBirs Yachts rolled out its first 100 Sports Yacht with a transversal weight difference of less than .13 of a percent! Now that is attention to detail that is hard to beat. To be specific, that is a precision factor that is 12 to 13 times better than the recent European yard role out of a very similar yacht. The first hull provides some very interesting features with a full beam master suite and four additional guest rooms. Most interestingly is the bow guest suite that while it has a split V berth, it can be put together to become a single double bed. Multi-functional and clever! The overall layout below is very flexible, with double and single beds configuration, and offers the owner 5 cabins that cater to couples, children and VIPs. Unlike most sports yachts, the main level offers a degree of comfort previously unknown in these yachts. Not only does the DeBirs 100 SP provide an open floor plan with bar, entertainment and unique foldable dining and tapas table, but it also separates the crew from the main salon. DeBirs even developed a screen between the crew driving the yacht and the lower level staircase, which does not impair or compromise navigation yet gives privacy to the owner who is accessing his sleeping quarters and living areas. Deck Toping all these features, even the aft area has been designed for dining, entertaining, lounging and sun bathing. Tables that turn into sun beds and sun beds that turn into a chill out lounge. Needless to say, the same goes for the mini fly bridge that is also fully equipped with a mini bar, ice maker and fridge and sink. Engine Room: The Italtecnica/Arrabito designed hull has hit its design speed of 28 knots with only 2000 hp MTU engines and cruises with a deck dry as the desert and a yacht steady as a rock. |
