FORECASTLE FISHWIFE has a very traditional Herreshoff decor with satin finish, off-white bulkheads, cabinside and overhead accented with varnish. Honduras Mahogany ledger boards, corner posts, trim molding door frames and doors. The small locker doors are louvered with Mahogany frames and Sitka Spruce louvers. The sole is traditional varnished Teak and Holly. Forward there is a spacious v-berth with a 7' length. In addition to the fixed v-berth there are two pipe berths that swing into upper bunks for two additional berths and act as back rests for the lower bunks when not in use. Aft of the v-berth area there is a dinette that seats four at a varnished Mahogany drop leaf table. Outboard the settee there is a large hanging locker to port and a chest of drawers to stbd. There is a nice large shelf with fiddles on top of the stowage units as well as lift outs for additional stowage under the settee seats. The Galley to port and the Head to stbd. are just aft of the settees. The Galley has a large top load refrigeration system, stainless steel sink, pot locker, 3 burner Paul Luke propane stove, sliding door locker outboard the counter top and a large locker under the sink. The Head has a shower, stainless steel sink and counter top with locker stowage underneath. There is a Wilcox Crittenden "Skipper" toilet and a 28 gallon waste tank connected to a macerator pump and equiped for deck pump out. |

PILOTHOUSE The windshield frame, ledger boards, corner posts and trim moldings are varnished Honduras Mahogany. The bulkhead and overhead are a stained off-white finish. There are side and stern pull down curtains that enclose the pilothouse in inclement weather or when you are not aboard. There are two comfortable seats, helm and navigator that attach to the sole with an easily removed Pelican hook to access the stowage under the platform. There are overhead handrails for rough weather. Engine instrument and gauges are overhead above the windshield. The electronic gear is mounted on the bridge deck just fwd of the helm. There is a varnished Mahogany, enclosed fore and aft bench seat on the portside with stowage for life jackets, safety and running gear. The sole is unfinished teak with black rubber seams. |

COCKPIT The cockpit is spacious. The side decks are flush so you can sit comfortably on them. There is a stern seat with cushion and back rest. The sole is bare teak with black rubber seams. There are hatches in the sole to access the steering cylinder and the drive train. There is a Lewmar winch on the stern deck to handle the tender, or kedge off a sand bar and to use in conjunction with the mast. The mast and boom are Sitka Spruce and afford many useful functions including displaying the US ensign and your personal colors. |
