Owner's Comments

The rebuild included new frames, relocation of fuel tanks in the bilge, completely new cherry and mahogany planking with red cedar splines producing a perfectly smooth hull, special stainless steel keel bolts, two new steering systems, new house and pilothouse, new decks and new everything else except the spars, that were built by Red Nimphius in 1985, and are, as new.

The owner hired Richard Hall of Palmer Johnson who was their lead carpenter for 30 years. He, along with the owner totally rebuilt "JACK TARR" over an 8 year period.
