Mast, Spars and Rigging "Ocella" is a ketch rigged vessek with aluminum masts and booms. The standing rigging is 1x19 stainless steel cable with swage terminals. There is a manual Reckmann roller furling system for the jib. Both main and mizzen have lazy jack systems. All winches are Barient. The primary winches are Barient 35 electric operated by a foot pedal.

Accommodations "Orcella" is truly a classic yacht with exquisite joinery work and teak cabinetry simply unavailable today. She is the perfect long-range family cruising yacht with the master stateroom and two large double cabins aft. Her large and light-filled main saloon is amidships. She has an excellent and well equipped galley with superior refrigeration capacity. Two crew cabins forward sleeps two. In foul weather the boat can be completely operated from inside the enclosed pilothouse while in fair weather an outside steering station is surrounded by comfortable seating. Dining can be inside the main saloon or outside on the after deck which is complete with a barbeque and a full sink built into the teak cabinetry. "Ocella" is one of those rare classic boats that is both beautiful and functional. She is an excellent family long range cruiser with both excellent sailing and motoring capabilities. She is well laid out with a variety of seating and entertaining areas both on deck and below. She has been kept in excellent condition and has been continually upgraded over the years. Owner's Stateroom Starting aft is the full beam owner's stateroom with a single berth to starboard and a double berth to port. The ample teak cabinetry is bathed in natural lighting from both hull windows and overhead windows. There is an ensuite head with a stall shower.

Wheelhouse A very nice feature of "Orcella" is the enclosed wheelhouse. Excellent visibility is provided for the helmsman by large wrap-around windows. A full chart table is to starboard complete with built-in full size chart drawers. On the port side is an elevated couch that can be used as a day bed. The steering station has full engine controls and instrumentation. |

Main Saloon/Galley Forward of the wheelhouse and down three steps is the main saloon. This area is elevated to provide light and visibility through large side windows. A gimbaled dining table is to port with seating for six. To starboard is the built-in entertainment center with a 20" TV, stereo, VCR and CD player. On the aft bulkhead is a desk/work station. In addition to various lockers there is a bookshelf to starboard and a bar forward amidships. Forward of the main saloon and down two steps is a well-equipped galley on the port side. There is a three burner LPG stove, Magic Chef Chateau LPG oven, an electric four burner Magic Chef range and a GE Spacemaker II microwave oven. The large built-in refrigerator and freezer and each 24 cubic feet. Opposite the galley to port is a dinette with a room for four to sit comfortably and a gimbaled table. |
