Meet Capt. Dave

My name is Captain Dave Gugliotti. I have been on the water most of my life and have to admit I am very addicted to boating, as a lot of you are. I graduated from Springfield College with a degree in Business in 1997. I had bought my first boat before I graduated. It was a 20’ Cuddy Cabin that ended up having plenty of motor problems. This however, did not deter my passion for this life style. I started teaching Boating for the state soon after I got my certificate being the youngest teacher they have ever had. Combining my love of business and boating I obtained my 100 ton Masters license and started Connecticut Boating Education. Since, then I have dabbled in Navel Architecture at West Lawn School, extended my Boating and PWC class to navigation, on the water training, charters, and yacht brokering and I am still expanding.

Here at Connecticut Boating Education, we aim to provide the best boating knowledge, and leverage that with hands-on-deck training on the water. Always wanted your own boat? We can help you prepare for your Certification (required in Connecticut) and all safety training you'll need to pilot your watercraft with confidence.
