Captain Jonathan Grell, Commodore Yachts experienced Owner / Broker is Licensed and Bonded with the State of California Department of Boating and Waterways and currently holds a United States Coast Guard 100 Ton Masters License. Capt. Grell is an involved member of the International Order of the Blue Gavel, the Southern California Yachting Association as well as the California Yacht Brokers Association and has many years of cruising experience under his belt from Puerto Vallarta, the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific West Coast from the Southern tip of the Baja to San Francisco! Mostly in his 46' Center Cockpit Cutter Rigged Ketch as well as many other Sailing Vessels and Motor Yachts.
Captain Jim Cash, Commodore Yachts licensed salesman, a fifty year sailing veteran, holds a 100 Ton Masters License. Jim took early retirement after a successful 30 year career in corporate management. He earned an MBA degree from Ohio State in Marketing and has taught Business and Marketing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. After retirement in 2001, Jim had a 35’ sailing catamaran built in Durban South Africa, on the Indian Ocean and spent the following five months sailing the vessel back across the Atlantic, to Los Angeles. Additionally Jim has done deliveries of vessels in the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, and all along the coast of California.
Jim is Commodore of the South Bay Yacht Racing Club for the 2008 racing season, and is an active member of the Marina Venice Yacht Club. Jim owns a home on Dauphin Island, Alabama, but when in California lives aboard his 45’ Hardin Ketch in Marina del Rey, CA.
