Novatec 55' Islander Cockpit Motor Yacht
A true "classic" in every sense of the word, the Novatec 55' Islander Cockpit embodies all of the space, quality, and craftsmanship demanded by a modern yachtsman. Several layouts are available. The most common layout includes two staterooms, with optional third stateroom, dinette or office.
The spacious master includes a walk around, king sized berth with ensuite shower or optional shower/tub combination. The forward stateroom comes complete with a queen sized berth and direct access to the common head. Both staterooms enjoy ample cabinets, a hanging locker and the option to have a hinged bed for additional storage underneath.
The layout shown here includes a spacious salon with a U-shaped galley down configuration, along with a dinette. However, a galley-up design is also available. All of the interior accommodations demonstrate the exquisite work of old-world craftsmen using the finest in teak or cherry wood throughout.
Later model 55' Millennium are built with close to a stand-up entryway into the engine room. Stepping up to the aft deck, there is room for several furniture arrangements and entertaining is easy with the built-in wet bar, sink and ice maker.
The flybridge can seat up to three pilot chairs and has built-in lounge seating for six. Additional features include a swim platform, radar arch and a particularly attractive optional hardtop that can be enclosed with glass windshields and hydraulic windows.
The hull bottom is solid fiberglass, designed as a semi-displacement that will provide excellent fuel economy at low RPM. Cummins 635-hp diesels are standard and will cruise the Novatec 55' Millennium at a steady 21 knots and reach a top speed of around 24 knots.
