BVI Yacht Sales Ltd. image 42' R&C Leopard 42, 2003
Significantly Refitted Solid Cat
NOW FURTHER REDUCED! Asking $195,000 from $219,000

The Leopard 42 has deservedly earned a reputation for being a more than capable blue water cruiser (having sailed to the BVI from South Africa on her own bottom), yet is equally at home providing a super comfortable floating home for live aboard cruisers in the Caribbean or elsewhere. She offers four comfortable cabins, with the two forward cabins offering the sought after walk around queen beds, as well as four heads, a spacious salon and galley and well-designed cockpit and helm station. La Bella Vita is in her second ownership and has been used primarily as an instructor/captained sailing school boat in St Thomas. Her upgrades in recent years are numerous and impressive with too many to list here. Upgrade highlights just in the last two years include a new generator and air con units, all new standing rigging including new chain plates, a new Quantum mainsail, a New Profurl genoa furling unit and new solar panels. She has been priced at the lower end of the scale for these boats to reflect her relatively high usage, we feel she offers good value for her next owner due to so many of her significant and costly systems having been recently replaced. Email or call the listing broker, Chris Simpson at chris@bviyachtsales.com or call 1-877-310-9458.

Asking $ 380,000
Safari: As one of the most popular and successful cruising cat design of all time, selecting a Lagoon 440 as your choice of vessel is almost a no brainer. However, Safari offers her next owner an exceptional example of how one of these great boats can be preserved, upgraded and maintained to the very highest standards. She has been lavished with attention throughout her short life. BVI Yacht Sales Ltd. image 60' Moschini Mostes 60, 1990
Asking $ 220,000
Elinda. Offers her next owner a great combination of blue water performance and luxurious comfort above and below decks. Her fiberglass hull was built by the famous Italian Moschino Shipyard using the mold for the Ferretti Altura 61. The unfinished hull was then transported to the Mostes Shipyard (a well renowned builder of primarily wooden yachts) where she was completely fitted out, inside and out and with a teak laid deck. In her first ownership she was sailed from Italy to the BVI and then onwards to Tahiti and ultimately Sidney, Australia. She remained there for one year before then being sailed from Sydney to the BVI, via the Panama Canal, in only two months and five days. She has remained in the BVI ever since and was purchased by her current owner in 2002. The current owner, an already seasoned sailor who had owner another large vessel he had Captain chartered for many years, then set about converting the interior of Elinda to offer more comfortable accommodations and then chartered her with his crew from 2005 until 2015 when they retired. She has received numerous upgrades throughout the years including a replacement teak deck in recent years, I am confident that this vessel will survey out well due to the tremendous experience of her owner and would be ideal for an owner that wishes to cruise in comfort, safety and make great passage times. Elinda is dry stored in a keel pit here at Nanny Cay Marina each summer and has never suffered any damage due to storms or bad weather. We welcome you viewing what is truly a remarkable vessel. chris@bviyachtsales.com or call 1-877-310-9458.

BVI Yacht Sales Ltd. image 52' Amel Mango 52, 1982
Asking $ 129,000
Chi Mi Ama. Here is a great opportunity to own one of the best offshore cruising sailboats of all time! Known to be old Henry Amel’s favorite design, we he finally retired from the shipyard, his employees gave him a brand new Mango as his retirement gift! Truly an amazing sea boat, the Mango is legendary for strength, seakindliness and carrying capacity. Countless major ocean voyages and circumnavigations have bene successfully undertaken by Mangos. This particular Mango was chosen after the owner looked at every Mango on the market in Europe over a two year period and ‘Chi Mi Ama’ (She who loves me) was chosen because of her overall structural integrity and condition. Since his purchase he performed a major refit including pulling and reworking the engine and replacing many parts, plus a general rewire and updating of the DC electrical system and the addition of new rigging, a new roller furling system for the mainsail and innumerable other significant and smaller updates and improvements. What he did not do however is change the original upholstery! So she is almost original in appearance down below! If you are looking for the ultimate under $150k offshore cruising sailboat with all the goodies already onboard, here she is! She just complete transatlantic in December and is ready for crossing oceans, or sailing amongst the myriad islands of the Caribbean. todd@bviyachtsales.com or call 1-877-310-9458.

BVI Yacht Sales Ltd. image 43' Hans Christian Christiana 43, 1999
Asking $ 219,000
Ideal 1. The Hans Christian 43 Christina represents the final word in high quality, heavy duty go anywhere cruising yachts that came out of the Far East at the end of the 20th century. As a 1999 model, Ideal 1 is reported to be the very last of these incredible cruising yachts built in Thailand before production costs made them unaffordable for the general public. To replace this boat with a similar model today would likely cost upwards of $900k! The story behind the Christina model is best described by Hans Christian guru Craig Beck who was for many years one of the two main importers of these yachts for the American market. He described the boat thus: “The project started in 1984. A total of 34 boats of this model were built. The designer, Scott Sprague designed this series of yachts to produce superior cruising speed and a stiff sailing yacht, due to the faster turn of the hull which presents a hard shoulder to leeward, with good weatherly performance for a medium displacement yacht. The long cord fin and the ½ skeg rudder provide excellent tracking, along with great maneuverability and a light helm. The interior of these yachts are a testament to the legendary craftsmanship of the Hans Christian yachts and truly a masterpiece to be seen. The Christina 43 deck layout was designed with safety and manageability in mind. This produced a yacht that is the epitome of what a proper cruising yacht should be.” Ideal 1s sail plan is easily managed by just one person and with her double roller furling headsails, large self-tailing winches and rigid vang, reefing is a breeze. Her cockpit is quite well protected and features and heavy duty offshore dodger with optically clear isinglass windows and substantial boom gallows for when the main is furled or when the trysail is hoisted on its separate track. She features a full complement of recent Raymarine electronics including radar on a substantial stern arch, AIS, charter plotter and all the usual things like AWS, depth and speed logs and autopilot, all 2010 or newer. She has dockside air conditioning and a washer a dryer as well as flat screen TV and DVD player so you will not be roughing it aboard Ideal 1. Her stereo system is recent and ipod ready and her sumptuous interior will give you great pleasure as you entertain or just relax below. Ideal 1 has been lovingly maintained by her careful and meticulous owners and is in very good overall condition. She has recently had all of her standing rigging replaced and her cruising gear is in top notch condition. This fine vessel would be an excellent choice for anyone wishing a relatively young and super well-made cruiser capable of taking you anywhere in the world in safety and comfort. todd@bviyachtsales.com or call 1-877-310-9458.

BVI Yacht Sales Ltd. image 42' Hunter 42, 1991
Asking $ 55,000
Manana. The Hunter Passage 42 is regarded by those that know them to be the most suitable passage maker out of all of the Hunter designs, yet also provides the most comfortable accommodations possible on a 42’ boat, truly offering the best of both worlds. Manana is in her second ownership, having been hardly used at all by her first owner and only lightly used by her current owners. Illness in the family is the reason for her sale and, somewhat sadly and due to this, she has therefore not been sailed since 2015 and has been dry stored since that time. Cosmetically she shows as very lightly used in almost all areas. However, she does have a couple of deck leaks, one of which has damaged a small area of woodwork. Also, some of her cockpit electronics have been sun damaged, so are there but are not listed, and are assumed that they will mostly need replacement. She is equipped with a very low hour Yanmar engine and a full-sized gen set, as well as full air con throughout. Her main engine and gen set have just been test run. Those looking for an excellent design that has had very light usage but will need some remedial work before she is once again in top shape, yet a fraction of the cost of a ready to go example of this great design, are highly encouraged to investigate and view her soonest, she will undoubtedly offer the right buyer tremendous value! chris@bviyachtsales.com or call 1-877-310-9458.

Dr's Orders. A great design that is surprisingly spacious, sails very well and is tremendously well ventilated, so particularly well suited for tropical cruising. Owned by a fastidious couple who have really looked after her and have her looking great who have been enjoying cruising and living aboard her each winter in the Virgin Islands for the last couple of years. During their ownership they have implemented some valuable and meaningful upgrades that have enhanced their cruising experience and allowed them to be much more independent cruisers. These include a nice solar array, a modern full sized chart plotter (with a second plotter for redundancy), a new furler for the genoa and, most importantly, a brand-new autopilot in 2016 that she was never originally equipped with. She is cruise ready and includes a dinghy and outboard, shows beautifully, is cruising the VI’s for the winter and is ready and waiting for her new owners to continue the cruising life. A clean, tidy, well equipped package for a moderate asking price, if you are looking for a cruiser in this size range I would highly recommend you considering her. clive@bviyachtsales.com or call 1-877-310-9458.
