USCG Auxiliary Safe Boating Course
At Buoy 8 we can't stress enough the importance of taking a safe boating course before you operate a boat. The USCG Auxiliary conducts courses in our area on a regular basis and we urge everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to learn the "Rules of the Road" as well as other safe boating procedures. When operating a boat, there's more to it than knowing that port is left, starboard is right, bow is front, stern is rear, and remembering "red on right return" - a new boater needs to know this and more.
