Comfortable Pontoon Cruising - Lightweight Trailerable Catamaran Cruiser
Premiers at the Seattle Lake Union Boats Afloat Show September 15-20, 2015
The EcoCruiser is a brand new style pontoon cruiser. She sleeps 4 in two low profile cabins — the main cabin has 6 ft. standing headroom with access to the berth from both sides, enabled by pontoon cutouts. She also has a standing private head with door, and lots of storage. Even roomier out on the deck where you spend most of your time with seating capacity for 12 to enjoy the sunshine and water. The huge 96 sq. ft. cockpit can be fully enclosed for an all-weather space. You can cruise and do water sports all day long without stopping back on shore for bathroom breaks, food or rotating guests. Most seats have a 360° view with the front bench having the 4 best seats. Railing gates on all four sides allow easy dock access and even easier because you step from the boat to the dock at same level. The gates and trailer design allow super easy launching and trailering without getting your feet wet. You can also beach it easily and safely stepping off front deck through the gate.
In addition, this new boat provides a combination of catamaran stability, cost efficiency and low maintenance. She weighs in at less than 5,000 lbs. on the trailer so it can be towed by a mid-sized SUV, doubling as a family car rather than adding the expense of an extra, large tow vehicle. The 150 hp outboard motor gives a top speed of 28 mph and offers great fuel economy, simplicity and low maintenance. When cruising at of 18 mph you get fuel efficiency of 4 mpg [great for a cruising boat]. She is lightweight because of the aluminum pontoon base and has a unique upswept bow deck to ride over waves, creating a smooth ride for you and your guests. The draft is 12” with the motor up and 24” with the motor down, less than any other cruiser.
The designers, a 40+ year cruising couple (17 owned and 12+ chartered cruisers) has been perfecting their original EcoCruiser design for 12 years and has contracted with Devlin Boats to build the beautiful cabins. No through hulls for no worries and less maintenance. Positive flotation. Designed with few and simple systems for minimum maintenance.
