MYLIUS 16E95 STANDARD TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
As all Mylius yachts are built on request, each one can be customised as per Client wishes in any details, from the construction to the plumbing to the finishes. So please use these technical specifications and the relative pricelist as a general guide only.
All structural dimensions are according to ISO 12215, analysis is done with FEM method.
Quality control of the product using ultrasound analysis applied to the hull and to the structures.
CE-Approval Category A Ocean
Hull and deck are of unidirectional and multi-axial carbon fibre sandwich with PVC core at different density. Solid skin lamination in the keel and rudder bearing areas and around engine bed.
Stiffeners are of unidirectional carbon fibres with high density PVC core, laminated to the hull.
Bulkheads are of unidirectional and multi-axial carbon fibre with PVC core laminated to hull and deck.
Chain plates are of carbon fibres laid over stainless steel bushings and are laminated to the hull and bulkheads using structural epoxy adhesives; head stay and backstay chain plates are in stainless steel.
Hull and deck joint is made with structural epoxy adhesives and internal/external lamination.
All the above-mentioned construction phases are carried out using an epoxy matrix, with vacuum-bag and post-cure techniques as per material manufacturer instructions.
RUDDER AND STEERING SYSTEM:
The rudder is built using carbon fibre/epoxy skin on a foam core with a solid carbon laminated stock. The steering system is supplied by Jefa.
The system is composed of self-aligning bearings, light-weight aluminium quadrant, chain and steel cables, two carbon wheels and one emergency tiller.
The steering pedestals are built in carbon with space for sailing instruments and compass (2 x 5”).
The ballast bulb is lead casting with 2 % antimony and is attached to a high strength stainless steel keel fin. The fin and bulb are faired to a tolerance of - 0 / + 1 mm.
HULL AND DECK FINISHING:
The hull outside finishing will be a complete cycle of Lechler epoxy fairing compound. The hull top coat will be polyurethane paint Isofan Marine HP PREMIUM with epoxy primer and polyurethane undercoat.
On the deck all visible composite surfaces are painted using Isofan Marine HP PREMIUM with epoxy primer and polyurethane undercoat.
The side decks, fore deck, cockpit sole and seats are finished with white antiskid. There is a teak toe rail all along the deck sides.
The antifouling will be Lechler Sibelius Hard Matrix or Veneziani “Speedy Carbonium”.
The mast is built by Southern Spars in carbon fibres (standard modulus) with Ronstan or Harken track for traveller cars and bolt-rope. Exits on mast for halyards, messenger lines and lazy jack, Lopolight 3-colour light, deck and steaming light.
Southern Spars carbon fibres boom with three sheaves (1 for the outhaul and 2 for manual reefs).
Running rigging in dyneema/spectra with Tylaska shackles.
Discontinuous rod rigging in Nitronic 50 with turnbuckles and tip-cup; backstay in Kevlar. Stainless steel tie rods below deck. Mast collar in carbon.
Hydraulic mast jack system
Harken or Ronstan deck hardware. All blocks, tracks and travellers will be Harken or Ronstan. All halyards and bowsprit lines are lead under deck to the halyard winches.
Self-tailing Performa series Harken winches with handles as per the following list:
- Two Harken 50.2 STP halyard winches, one on each side of the companionway hatch
- Two Harken 60.2 STP mainsheet winches
- Two Harken 60.3 STP primarywinches
Jammers and stoppers will be Spinlock as per the following list:
- Four Spinlock ZS 0810
- Ten Spinlock ZS 1214
Back stays, vang and out haul are hydraulic and controlled by Navtec multi-functional control unit (manually operated) fitted in the cockpit.
Two angled helmsman’s supportsare located at the steering consoles
25 mm stainless steel pulpit and pushpit, stainless steel stanchions with spacing according to ISAF/ORC requirements, 4 mm stainless steel wire lifelines connected with adjusting turnbuckles. Pad eyes for safety lines on deck according to ISO requirements
The Lewmar stainless steel electric windlass is fitted in the anchor locker and is controlled by remote control on foredeck.
The anchor arm is built in carbon fibres and is fitted inside the bowsprit.
Aluminium anodized Seasmart foldable cleats and fairleads, rounded stainless steel protection profiles besides of the fairleads.
Stainless steel removable swimming ladder for bathing platform. Stainless steel fittings flush mounted on the platform for easy installation.
HATCHES AND WINDOWS
All the portholes and hatches are equipped with Ocean Air blinds.
There are three square coachroof windows over the main saloon. They are of laminated glass with anti UV film in the middle. The central windows is opening with a pantograph system.
All the deck hatches are flush deck built in carbon and e-glass fibres covered with 15 mm Perspex. They will be fitted with double highly polished stainless steel gas struts. They are positioned on deck as follow:
- One above Owner’s bathroom
- One above Owner’s cabin
- One above Sail locker (teak covered)
- One above anchor and windlass locker (teak covered)
- One (each side) above aft cabin bathroom
- One above the aft storage (tender garage - teak covered)
Four Lewmar portholes are fitted inside the cockpit. They are flush mounted with black painted aluminium frame.
The main companionway will be provided with a horizontal sliding hatch made in Perspex.
Internal structures in composite material with a polyurethane painted finish (wide choice of colours). All the hinges, fittings and handles in stainless steel or chrome-plated brass
Furniture and floorboards are of light weight construction with a teak veneer.
Ceilings and internal panels are in marine plywood, covered with eco-leather or micro-fibre (wide choice of colours and finishes).Cabin and main saloon cushions are in cotton or micro-fibre (wide choice of colours).
Foldable lightweight marine plywood saloon table with solid wood frame. Manual adjustable stainless steel legs.
Carbon fibre or marine plywood stairways with stainless steel grab rail.
The basin tops in the heads are built in marine plywood or composite fibres (optional); wash basins are in the stainless steel or painted composite (optional). In all the heads the wc are electric, supplied by Tecma.
The shower floors are made with teak gratings. The shower doors are of Plexiglas (where specified in layout).
The galley has a stainless steel working top, the electric stove is built by Techimpex. There is a custom made gimballing system for the stove. The single bowl sink is in stainless steel.
The refrigerators are supplied by Frigonautica. One front opened 80 lt with ice compartment and one front opened 115 lt with external air-cooled compressor.
The main engine is a Volvo Penta D2-75 Hp @ 3000 rpm with athree blades foldable Flex-O-Fold propeller. The engine control panel is housed in the cockpit in a special compartment protected by a Plexiglas cover. The engine has its own dedicated starting battery.
The fuel tanks for a total capacity of 360 lt. (daily tank included) are built in stainless steel with internal anti swashing baffles, electric shut-off valve and level monitoring system on “touch-screen” panel at navigation table.
One centrifugal Racor decanter filter will be installed between the two tanks and the day-tank, a second Racor decanter filter will be installed in the engine room between the day tank and the main engine.
The engine room is acoustically insulated with one automatic fire fighting system with manual remote control. The engine room can be accessed also from the cockpit for installing and removing engine.
There is a ventilation system for the engine room with automatic/manual operated fan with temperature sensor for air intake and extraction.
The electrical main system is based on the Mastervolt “Masterbus system”. This innovative system allows to control and activate from the pc “touch-screen” panel at the navigation table (with a customised Mylius software) all the system of the boat.
DC 12/24 V system:
AGM Mastervolt batteries 24V-450 Ampwith a Master Shunt 500 main fuse Mastervolt battery monitor. There is one battery charger Charge Master 24/100 and one Inverter Mass Sine 24/2500 Watt.
There is a Volvo Penta alternator on the main engine to charge the engine battery and one additional Mastervolt Alpha Pro 24V/75 Amp alternator to charge the service batteries. One Mastervolt DC 500 distribution unit is installed to connect the 24V devices to the DC group
AC 230 V system:
The system is controlled by inverter or shore power connection. Inverter-based system with 10 Ah socket lines, boiler line and computer and/or TV (if included) line.
Shore power system with an automatic differential-protected 32 Ah socket for a battery charger line and 16 Ah socket lines for air conditioning line and/or other high absorption lines. Each line is protected by automatic resettable switches and a logic by-pass function.
All AC and DC electrical components are connected to the earth system and isolated from the yacht. The AC earthing system has a galvanic protection by a Mastervolt transformer and a dissipation plate fitted on the hull.
General cabins lighting system is made with BCM LED lights with dimmers, divided into three levels (ceiling, counter lights and courtesy lights) with switches in all environments.
Navigation LED lights are supplied by Lopolight.
Deck light on the mast.
Two structural carbon fibre water tanks with a total capacity of 600 lt. with electrical shut-off valves operated from the “touch-screen” panel. Dedicated on-deck filler lines and venting valves. Tank levels are show on the “touch-screen” panel at the navigation table.
Whale Fresh IC fresh water pump including filter.
The boiler is 220 V Quick 40 lt with heat exchanger connected to the main engine.
Deck water intake with pressure limit control to shut-off the fresh water pump when the boat is moored.
All the hot and cold water piping are in rigid PVC, standard approved for food with special anti-odour properties. Quick release coupling for all the fresh water system piping.
Deck wash connection in anchor locker powered by an electric Whale pump located in the engine room.
Seawater tap in galley (optional)
Grey water system:
Whale Bilge IC* pumps for shower drain (one in each head) with drainage over the waterline.
Independent sink drains with hull seacocks.
Engine room bilge compartment isolated from the rest of the yacht and drained by a Whale Bilge IC* pump.
Main saloon bilge drained by a Whale Bilge IC* pump. Port side bilge in the lazarette drained by a Whale Supersub Smart pump with a smart water-in sensor.
Emergency manual bilge pump in the cockpit (ISO standard).
All the automatic pumps are monitored on the “touch-screen” panel with sound alarms in the event of water presence.
Black water system:
The toilets are Tecma Elegance Short 24 V with porcelain bowl.
To flush the toilet system uses one centralised Whale seawater pump located in the engine room. The system is operable with either fresh or salt water switching through one by-pass valve located in the engine room.
The PVC black water tanks with level sensors are located in all the heads. Each tank discharge for gravity to own seacock. Each tank is also provided with a deck suction line. Tank ventilation lines are fitted with anti-odour active carbon filter.
Through hull fittings:
All the through hull fittings are mounted flush. They are supplied by True Design (NZ) and built in composite material (ISO approved)
Automatic fire extinguisher system in engine room can be activated from the outside. Portable powder extinguishers are located in each cabin and secured with special brackets in the various interior environments.
There is a Bose Acoustimass 3 audio system with internal and external marine stereo speakers.
The boat is equipped with the mooring equipment (four mooring lines Ø 20 mm x 20 mt – eight fenders with lines)
CE approval: Category A Ocean (Standard 94/25/CE). She is built in compliance with “ISAF Offshore Special Regulations” - Race Category 2 Monohull.
