Nautical design awards at Genova Boat Show 2012

The first in a new range of three luxury yachts ranging from 88ft – 130ft,
the Ocean King 88 is a serious contender in the growing ‘Expedition’ yacht market from Italian shipyard.

Designed and built to exceed RINA specifications with all the strength and seaworthiness of an ocean going tug, the 230 ton Ocean King 88 has a 12mm double welded Grade A FE 430 steel plate hull over frames set 50cm apart and an aluminium superstructure. Power is supplied by twin MAN 598hp commercial grade diesels delivering low fuel consumption.

Her heavy displacement hull and low centre of gravity provide superb stability in rough seas and docking in any conditions is made easy with the exclusive joystick controlled Dynamic Positioning System, which synchronises the azimuth propellers with the bow thruster.

Interiors are luxurious with all the facilities and finish expected of a modern superyacht and can be completely custom built.
