"GREEN VOYAGER" is a revolutionary new design concept which combines luxurious comfort and environmental responsibility. It is for the owner who seeks a low-impact yacht to cruise the globe; to do so responsibly but without compromise on luxury and comfort.
Kingship has adopted various design solutions where interior design and engineering perfectly match.
"GREEN VOYAGER" is being built in compliance with RINA and MCA LY2 under 500 Gross Tons.
Advanced ultra-efficient hull design (waterline is 99% of the LOA). This optimizes propulsion efficiency by 16 to 18%. This is also a substantial increase of internal volume.
Efficient Cruising performance @ 13.5 knots with a top speed of 16 knots.
Intelligent power management system supporting automated power control and load monitoring, provides efficient fuel and energy management.
Reduction of generator size by 40%. Installation of 2x 65 kW generators as compared to 2x 100 kW for a similar size yacht. This is almost 1,850 gallons of fuel savings per month.
Low voltage DC-powered LED lights throughout the yacht eliminate the use of inefficient transformers, which produce almost no heat.
High capacity DC refrigeration system allowing maximum efficiency in energy consumption.
Waste heat recovery system for hot water provides significant energy savings.
Heat reflective glazing cuts solar heat and keeps the interior cooler, creating less demand on air conditioning, and resulting in lower power consumption.
Enormous deck spaces and natural ventilation are provided by 3 full height opening windows on each side of the yacht, bringing the outdoors in.
The technology and design of "GREEN VOYAGER" connects the outside environment with the interior.
Full height glass sliding doors access the Sky Lounge, Main Salon and Dining Area.
The Sun Deck offers both sun and shade alternatives, with automated blinds which extrend across the exterior.
The Upper Deck provides Al Fresco dining and forward lounge seating, and bulwarks fold down to extend the sight lines and increase air flow.
On the Main Deck, the Owner's full beam suite with His & Hers bath is located forward, with a large walk in closet and Owner's office.
The Lower Deck accommodations include two double Guest Staterooms and two twins, each with ensuite facilities. The Crew's quarters are located forward with crew mess and 4 cabins with over/under bunks. The Captain's double cabin is located on the Bridge Deck.
Main Engines = 2x Caterpillar C32 ACERT Rating C, 1450 hp / 1081 kW @2300 rpm
Generators = 2x 86 kW Caterpillar C4.4
Emergency generator = 50 kW Fischer Panda
At 16 knots, fuel consumption is 600 l/r, range 1350 nm, and power 100%
At 13.5 knots, fuel consumption is 200 l/r, range 3500 nm, power 45%
At 10 knots, fuel consumption is 100 l/r, range 5500 nm, power 20%
Hull & Construction
The hull is an advanced displacement type with a twin -curve vertical stem; underwater main parameters and geometry ahve been studied and tank tested to achieve exceptional performance. The long waterline length stretches the hull volume. This diminishes the pressure due to the flow around the forward shoulders of the underwater body, reducing wave-making resistance. The plumb bow form with deep and narrow forward sections also limits slamming in seaway and allows smooth passage in the waves, decreasing overall resistance where speed is increased and fuel efficiency improved.
The hull is constructed of High Strength Steel (AH 36), with Aluminium Alloy (5083 H321) superstructure.
Designed by Horacio Bozzo, with engineering by Axis Yacht Group Design, "GREEN VOYAGER" is a full displacement motoryacht constructed of steel with aluminium superstructure in a design concept combining luxury, comfort and enviromental responsibility. Using efficient propulsion systems and specially designed equipment, it is the most energy wise, low emission yacht possible with a simplicity of design and maintenance. This low impact motoryacht is built to stringent RINA and MCA LY2 regulations, and will cruise the globe reliably and in comfort.
"GREEN VOYAGER" is in mid-build and available for short delivery in 2014.
