Introducing the New ES 44
The New ES44 is the evolution of the successful Kernan/Courable custom designed 44 foot Wasabi. Earning its pedigree, Wasabi took home a string of bullets in the IRC class at the St. Francis Big Boat Series. The ES44 promises to take this pedigree one step further. She is designed to be exciting to race around the bouys while offering a comfortably fast and stable platform for offshore races. The New ES44 fits ideally into the top end of the IRC 2 class and can be race by a crew of 9.
The team at ES Yachts looked at Wasabi’s record, which speaks for itself, and felt the platform had potential for even greater performance. The ES44's rig dimensions have been increased and the displacement reduced by way of modifications to the laminate schedule, materials and construction methods. These modifications, along with the inherent stiffness of the hull design, have allowed the draft to be reduced while actually improving performance with little effect on the boat's rating. The ES44 has proven to be a great boat for around the cans or distance racing.
A great new offshore racing yacht built in the USA!
