American Tugs manufactures a line of custom crafted cruising trawlers following four guiding principles:
We’re driven by our passion for maritime tradition and infuse years of experience with modern construction techniques resulting in sturdy, yet nimble, trawlers that are perfect for both short- and long-term cruising. Accommodations Often the first impression of the American Tug is the quality of the interior. As you step from the aft cockpit into the salon you are immediately surrounded by beautiful joinery work made from Sapele wood. The textures of carpet and Ultraleather are warm and inviting. These boats feel right. The salon features large windows which flood the interior with light. You can see forward past the galley to the raised pilothouse, it is this open feel that makes the interior great for entertaining. An L-shape settee is on starboard, with the option to easily convert to a large double berth. On the port side there is room for a single recliner. The galley is forward and on the port side. Entertainment center with a 26" LCD television is on starboard. Up a few steps to the raised pilothouse. American Tug makes full use of the large "stack", the defining feature of a tug boat, and provides ample headroom above these stairs. The pilothouse is large, open and provides full 360-degree sightlines. The console is full size and has plenty of room for a pair of 17-inch displays. There are sliding doors on both the port & starboard sides. The port side of the pilothouse has additional seating for 3. On starboard is a desk with drawers. A comfortable captain’s chair is on centerline. Forward is the guest stateroom with a queen pullman berth with four large drawers. There is a hanging locker forward with an all in one washer and dryer. The guest stateroom has a private head with full shower. The master stateroom is down a few steps and features a walk-around queen berth, a very large private head & shower, ample storage with nine drawers plus a cedar lined hanging locker. All the spaces are climate controlled with a hydronic heating system. The joinery work is a warm toned Sapele wood. A wide selection of Ultraleather upholstery and commercial carpet colors are available for your selection. " Live the Dream"
