McConaghy Ker

This 2012  ker designed 40 footer will set the standard for IRC racing boats in the 40 foot size range for years to come.

Built by the world renown McConaghy's in China, their reputation for building strong, lightweight and fast racing boats is second to none.

Ker designs have been winning sailboat races all over the world for the 10 years and his newest designs PEACEMAKER ( 2009 37 footer) and TONNAIR (2009 46 footer) have been extremly successful both on the East coast of the states and Europe. PEACEMAKER  won her class under IRC in the Port Huron to Mackinaw Island race and then was 2nd in her class under ORR in the Chicago To Mackinaw race in 2010. TONNAIR  finished dominating class 2 at the 2011 key West race week, beating King 40's, J 122's, J 44's, and every other boat in that class by 18 points based on 9 1st place finish's out of 10 races. The term there was no second place comes to mind!!

 Mermorial day weekend , hull # 1KERONIMO has won her first race ( 250 mile distance race) by 11 minutes over the Ker 46 TONNAIR.  Fresh out of the box with limited days of practice, she dominated her class. Over the course of the Summer, the success has rolled on, and now the design is winning races in Australia against very formidable IRC competition.  After months of speculation on which 40 footer to buy, the Ker 40 has clearly dominated with top race results world wide.
