This boat has never been fished and has never been taken offshore. She is still New and kept on a trailer at the builder's home! This 25 Custom Carolina is absolutely stunning. Designed by Jesse Rhodes and built in Charleston, this boat will turn heads everywhere it goes. Her simple elegance is accentuated by teak covering boards in the cockpit and a teak toe rail surrounding the bow. Her cold-molded wood construction, sharp entry, flare in the bow and considerable deadrise in the transom, make this boat a seaworthy, soft and dry ride. This boat is a solid Deep-V center console designed for offshore sportfishing. Her construction can be described as "overbuilt," as the boat's weight and draft were not a primary concern in her design. The pictures reveal the boat’s classic design, but she cannot be fully appreciated until seen in person. As discussed below, there is considerable flexibility with the purchase and sale of this boat. This kind of opportunity is rarely found in today’s custom boat industry. The builder of this boat is also the owner. Because of this, there are several different pricing options, which makes the purchase and sale of this boat very flexible. This boat is brand new and was designed for a single 300 or twin 150s, but the owner currently has a 2001 250hp Yamaha mounted on the back of it so he can show the boat and cruise the waterways. The boat has not been fished or taken offshore. It is kept on a trailer and has been cruised on the waterways around Charleston only a few times since she was finished in mid-2012. The motor is now included in the listing price. While a buyer may want to put new motors on the boat, the current motor will allow a buyer with limited funds to use the boat until new motors and other items could be purchased. The motor also allows us to sea trial the boat for buyers with serious interest. The boat will reach speeds over 40 mph with the single 250 Yamaha. While certainly not necessary, the owner would prefer to have the opportunity to finish the boat for the eventual buyer. Of course, this would create two separate agreements. First, we would agree on the final price for the boat and trailer. Then, the buyer and the current owner could negotiate the price/cost to finish the boat. Regardless, the boat is nearly complete. Assuming the buyer wants different engines, the boat needs power, trim tabs, a t-top, outriggers, etc. Hence, the time consuming parts of construction are complete. The owner has a t-top for the boat, which could be purchased separately. However, we are keeping that off of the boat for now because we want the buyer to have the opportunity to finish the boat as he or she prefers. We can send pictures of the t-top upon request. Please do not hesitate to contact me using the information below should you have any questions on the pricing or the various options with the purchase and sale of this boat. The owner is also open to trades, so do not hesitate to bring your offer. Regardless how the agreement is structured, someone will be getting a very good deal on a brand new custom Carolina boat. I apologize for the lengthy description, but we felt it was necessary to explain the pricing options associated with this boat. The flexibility of this sale is very unique. Please do not hesitate to bring your offer or contact me if you have any questions or concerns. | ||
