Price just lowered from 9,600.00 to 8,800.00 READY TO GO FOR YOU. NADA shows this boat valued between 9,300.00 and 8,100.000. Make an offer close and you just might be sailing this great daysailor next weekend.
Extreme Stability and an Extremely large cockpit overshadow the other very good qualities of this BARELY USED AMERICAN 18' DAYSAILOR. Additionally, this is a FRESHWATER boat that has VERY LITTLE USE - - SHE LOOKS CLOSE TO BRAND NEW !! After all she is a 2012 built boat. Certainly offers one of the best values on the internet. We only have one - - get it before someone else does AND SAVE $$'s. A reasonable offer will net you this lovely daysailor.
The stability of the American 18 is more like the nature of a keel boat - - dramatically stable compared to most other non-ballasted sailboats of comparable length. With her rounded but very hard chine, the American 18 is stable beyond measure. You and your family will like the better sense of security. A great boat for the experienced sailor (the current owner added a "TURBO" mainsail in the last couple os seasons, due to the amazing stability she is great for the beginning sailor a like. But if you want to pep her up you can for go the standard mainsail and hoist the "TURBO" and fly even faster.
She includes a cream colored hull & deck, a galvanized trailer, a spare tire, a deck cover, main & jib (like new), a wind vane, topping lift, a transom ladder installed and a kick up rudder with positive controls.
No point in purchasing a new boat at the new boat price when there is THIS American 18 available. This boat is SPIFFY !
Give us a call and let us help you from start to finish in getting you into this lovely sailboat. Happy to help you with the set up and going over the rigging and more if you like.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The American 18 Daysailer is an outgrowth of the popular 14.6 Daysailer, offering many of the same great features plus more space and storage. Designed as a result of the need for a large open daysailer which can handle larger waters, the American 18 fulfills this need and provides space for the whole family with its open cockpit. The seven-foot wide beam and flat bottom planing hull design create a stable boat that is very difficult to capsize yet fast and fun. There is no need to hike out in an uncomfortable position; the American 18 sails with minimal heel and is easy to control, even when sailing alone. One sits deep in the boat with a high backrest and lots of leg room, and the 150 square feet of Dacron sail provide for a quick and enjoyable day in a light breeze or stiff wind. The boat has more than ample storage space with compartments under the seats and large bow compartment. The American 18 also offers a self-bailing cockpit, ideal for those who wish to moor the boat behind their lakehouse. For the mast system, high-quality Dwyer anodized masts and booms are used along with stainless steel rigging. Foam floatation logs are also run along the inside of the mast extrusion for added safety. Best of all is the tabernacle mast step allowing one person to step the mast. For hardware, Harken blocks and cleats are used wherever possible, providing durable quality operation in fresh or salt water sailing. There is no wood to maintain and all the hardware is backed with aluminum plates and installed using stainless steel fasteners.
