Princess Yachts International, recently announced their acquisition of a new facility to enable the expansion of the model range to include yachts above 100 feet in length. The facility, which is part of the renowned Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth, England, comprises over 15 acres and is ideally located on the waterfront just a short distance away from Princess Yachts’ Newport Street facility.
With the addition of this new site, which represents an investment of nearly $25 million over the next few years, Princess Yachts now has over 38 acres of manufacturing facilities in Plymouth. The investment in new facilities, along with the commitment to continue to evolve and expand the product range, is a remarkable testament to the strength of Princess Yachts International and their unyielding commitment to building the finest yachts available in their class. Plans are currently being finalized on the first of a new line of technically advanced, long range cruising yachts to be built at the Devonport site. The first model, at 105 feet, will be the largest yacht produced by Princess to date and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2010.
In addition to the 105 Motor Yacht, further plans for an even larger tri-deck yacht are well underway, with the first hull targeted to launch in late 2011. The 130 Motor Yacht represents a new class standard in luxury long range cruising yachts. With ample accommodation for twelve guests and provision for a crew of eight, the cruising potential for this incredible new addition to the Viking Sport Cruisers line is limitless. From the myriad of entertaining spaces to the magnificent main deck owner’s suite, the 130 Motor Yacht has clearly been designed to bring a new level of comfort to the waterfront lifestyle, yet with many opportunities for personalization to create a truly custom feel. Given the variety of yachts available in this size range, it truly is a challenge to bring something unique to the market. The 130 Motor Yacht offers the best of all worlds to meet the needs of the most demanding yachtsman in an exceptional design that combines beauty, grace, style, and practicality like no other yacht in her class.
We invite you to contact Viking Sport Cruisers with any questions on this exciting development and for more information on our revolutionary new range of larger motor yachts.
